Vintage rigged Roulette Wheel
I've recently acquired a late 20's early 30's H.C. Evans "Deluxe" Roulette wheel. It was purchased in Omaha NE. The anti
It's a needle in a gigantic haystack! Thanks for the research! I'll post anything I find.
I read that. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to find a table without a wheel. The wheels are available but haven't found just the table. There's one out there somewhere. Thanks
Yeah, I suspect your wheel was separated from its table because somebody just wanted to use the table as furniture. They are nice tables. Good luck on your hunt!

Thank you. It's really cool. I am an historian, but not of that era, so it's kind of a "bus-man's holiday," as they say, to dig into this.
Wow, Garick doing work. Thanks for posting, that stuff is quite interesting.
and you wonder why you have too much "work"!
I’ll be here a while. I found a table I think will work. I’m going to build it to work with the wheel. Electromagnets and buttons. Hold poker chips and it will have a wooden cash box under it. I’ll post progress pics.
Cool. See if you can find a similar table for the number board. Something like this:
PS: I'm guessing there's been some compressed time-table in this thread, yes? If not, I'm very impressed by how fast this project seems to be going.

With a little searching you might be able to find an old picnic table that would accommodate the numbers as well as the wheel. I still have one that belonged to my parents that looks very much like that table but quite a bit longer and possibly a little wider. When I was a small child they used it as a dining room table. I have seen pics of identical or similar tables on the internet in the past few years.
Just a suggestion. The wheel looks fantastic!
I'm still thinking about this. My latest plan was to disassemble this table, spread the legs out, and add the wheel to the end of this table. Then there would be room for the numbers. It would be cool to find wooden numbers I could inlay on top of this table. I'll lay it out later and take a pic.
I've been woodworking for over 20 years professionally. We build custom furniture and modern/vintage items. I have a few tricks up my sleeve. I was able to restore the wheel after work. It took a week and a couple of weekends. I think this table may be more difficult. Especially getting the electronics to work.
what do you suppose it means when the extension leaves on my parents heirloom dining room table have faint black and red numbers on them?
they only get pulled out around thanksgiving and christmas, if that matters

Holiday bonuses is where you find them!
I thought your family hailed from a piece northwest of Hot Springs.
Garick doing legit work itt.
Excellent thread! A breathtaking saga of a beautiful heart-breaking mistress.
Well I found a table and the owner of the table made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. It was a fun project. Now I’m looking for another wheel. I’ve got a couple sources looking for provenance still and I’ll keep posting updates. Also looking for a set of vintage poker chips for another project I’m working on. Thanks for all the help!

Congrats on the sale.
Welp, even if it is no longer yours, we'd appreciate pics once it gets married up to the table.

Table update. Choose not to sell.
Pictures are good. Needs more dog.
Looks great! Part of me wishes you kept it original but it’s clear you know what you’re doing on the refurb so keep it up!
