***Blocktober: stopping ChatGPT from naming the chat thread***
It's not the ChatGPT thread.
I appreciate you guys checking out the site. It has been a lot of work and it’s nice to know someone else has seen it.
As for the rest of the crazy talk -
BobDylan is 83 years old and has been on the Never Ending Tour since the late 80’s doing over 100 dates a year. He’s tired. His voice is tired. You don’t go see him these days because it’s going to be a sonic masterpiece. You go because it is Bob Dylan and he’s 83 years old. He’s out there still doing it because he has to. Some are to you to appreciate what he gave the world with his words.
I’m sitting in a Mexican restaurant in Payson, Az after a pretty grueling hike. And what made me check this thread while waiting for my well earned pork carnitas plate, there is a lady over there wearing a Bob Dylan and the Band world tour 1974 tshirt. I’m going over to talk to her instead.
If you don't chew Big Red then **** you.
When I wake up in the morning I piss excellence.
Bob Dylan is an acquired taste... like the Eagles.
It's a taste that I don't personally have the pallet for.
I was quoting Talladega Nights w Will Ferrell.
Damn it. I'll try to do better.
Whats up with the holiday today?
Indigent people’s day or something?
A day for needy people?
I guess they got the day because they’re so damn needy.
I thought it was indignant people's day. I was very put out about that.
when is NOMAD day...
When you tell the homeless dude no, I’m not buying you a beer. But then you get him a beer anyway.
buying and getting are two separate actions which in that scenario both could be true
spiked milkshakes at saturday tailgates bring lines of bum to the yard for a free beer
what would be cooler man is pretending to be a penguin and roll up on a yeti napping in it's igloo and reset the thermostat after stealing all the natural ice
Quick trip report here so as not to run afoul of the weirdos in LVL (plus I didn't gamble a whole lot, mostly UTH with one face up PGP session with the mrs...ended up down about 4 fun tix).
Former darling of the forum, now open in Caesar's Palace:
We'd always planned on going to the OG at some point, but given IRL circumstances, seems unlikely we'll be going to NY any time soon.

Scallop appetizer
Pan con tomate with paleta added on
Brussels sprouts with cannellini hummus
Bucatini with short rib
Mushroom risotto and black cod
Hit Resorts World for the first time for brunch/lunch the next day, not realizing that many places in the food hall only open late. Oh well.
L'atelier
Amuse of confit potatoes, I don't recall what the foam is, but it was very herbaceous, and the obligatory teaser of osetra
Pan con tomate and iberico ham, always a favorite of mine
Braised leek because you have to have some veg 😀
Kinmedai carpaccio and cauliflower salad
Main was the pepper crusted filet because I recently made steak au poivre at home and wanted to see how substandard my execution was (Robuchon potatoes, as always, ridiculous)
Dark chocolate/white chocolate mousse with oreos was comped, probably because we paid triple for a bottle of Duckhorn, IDK
♥ L'atelier, but couldn't help feeling like we would rather eat at Anima twice for the the same amount of money (Because it was literally twice as much)
anima looks amazing
It's a haul getting out there, but it's worth (assuming you just deal with the warped economy of Vegas)
A guy in a suit came up to us at the end of the meal at L'atelier and asked me what I liked the best. I said my favorite is usually always the iberico ham and he asked if I'd ever had it with Louis XIII. Um, no lol...asked my wife, "Did the chef just bigtime me?" Looking at the website, I don't think it actually was the chef, so I wonder who it was
GOAT tequila, si?

If you add water to a container that’s running out of soap, you are a ****ing idiot and I hate you.
Anyone else seeing the thread "Why Law Assignment Helpers Are Essential for Success in Legal Studies?" posted on the 24th? If the thread shows up for you, do you actually see a post in it? If you click on the name of the poster, what does it show you?
I think we've got some kind of bug that's leaving parts of the info if a spammer get the One Touch Band and Clean treatment, but I'm not sure.
I haven't seen this thread, but there's definitely a bug if the last post in a thread is deleted. The "read newest" link contains that post id, which isn't there to be displayed, so the view goes to the top of the thread (or maybe the top of the page, I forget).
It should be going into the post deletion code, and adding a bit to look up the previously post id in the thread being managed, then update the "newest" link. It's been reported, but hasn't been addressed.
Of course, I don't know the code behind the forums, so can't say if that's a simple exercise or not. Should be, but it might be badly architected.
