Another TD hand with name players at a final table
The is the final table of the $1500 8-game. I realize everyone can't play all the games well.
I don't like Miami John's limp. If you want to balance limps, you could play for a 2-bet with a pat or draw 1, and then you don't mind so much letting someone draw 4. Racener doesn't raise after 1st draw and then pats. There might be tournament issues with raising and maybe getting 3!. I guess Racener was going to draw 1 if Cernuto drew 1, but patted when he drew 2. Seems like he has to draw to an 87 that can't make a straight. The likelihood is high that he improves or at least catches an J or T in 2 draws.

Yes, it looks like a tournament hand for sure. Otherwise, I think MJC has a good bluff candidate on the river. Clearly Racener is capped when he just flatted then patted behind (unless he had a monster and the ability to get all the chips in despite flatting).
His King is never good, and Racener can't have 'seen' any good cards (he tossed 4 bad ones then stood pat). Well, I guess he could have started with a good pair, still his hand won't make a great bluff catcher.
I like your idea of balancing with some pats and D1s in order to have limps with your worst hands.
I am guessing that MJC had 865 pre first draw which is a tricky hand to play, but probably a hair too strong to open fold.
