The Coronavirus Prep/Sweat Thread Part Omicron: Winter is coming AGAIN.

I'm taking the coronavirus seriously enough to take steps to prepare and am curious if I'm over-reacting or if I'm on Te

Oops too late, youngest came back from trip last Saturday and developed COVID on Tuesday, wife and oldest have it now. I was out of town this week but came back Friday, not looking forward to Tuesday.

I had it about a month ago visiting mom and stepdad. Their 1st time, luckily it's been proven I didn't bring it to the house. Stepdad has a laundry list of underlying like diabetes that had us concerned. Nothing but a bad cold and tired all around.

I’m about 24 hours into getting flu and COVID shots. This **** is kicking my ****ing ass.

I must be lucky. Only thing I experience from those is a sore arm from the flu shot. Already have both for this year, too.

Covid hit last Tuesday, felt crappy until Monday or so and lost my sense of smell and food sweet food was less sweet, which is odd.
Smell is mostly back but still a little muted and taste has fully returned.

Yea he has jumped the shark really hard.

Who jumped harder?

John Campbell or Rogan?

Just logged in for the first time in a few years and had a DM from 'APD2090' 😵

He wanted to bet on what he had said, so I had to spend a few hours reading to work out what our interactions were.

Wonder if the vaccines have got to his whole family?

Made some interesting reading, and if it's possible, the world today seems even crazier than it was back then!!

Hope all are well, and still livin the dream.

I'm still waiting for my 5G activation after half a dozen vaccines, and having managed to survive Astrazenica, Pfizer & Moderna attempts to kill me off!

20 pages to go, and I'll be at the last page.

See you all in 2028, if we're not glowing in the dark

i thought the people who were anti mask were ****ign delusional but honestly, they may have been right but for the wrong reasons

I haven't heard about that. But I always considered wearing a mask was more to protect others from you than vice versa.

Crazy how those silly doctors and medical professionals still wear them for surgery etc., don't they watch the news?!

My wife earned a PhD in immunology. Bottom line, the masks are mostly very effective if worn properly.

Aren't standard, non-N95 masks way better at preventing mass spread of bad stuff on the wearer's exhale rather than actually filtering anything coming in on the wearer's inhale?

Seems good to me.

Got my first booster in three years a couple weeks ago for free (last time?) as each time I've had COVID the loss of taste/smell has gotten progressively worse and longer lasting.

I don't think I've missed an opportunity to get a booster. I lost count long ago.

But COVID almost killed me recently

when I mocked one of my oldest friends when he offered me part of his huge stash of ivermectin that he was keeping in the glove compartment of his car. Cooler heads prevailed, but he did take the time to recite a long list of his relatives that he had cured with it.

I didn't even have COVID at the time; he was just offering it so I'd have it if I needed it. I'm embarrassed that I can be such an ******* sometimes.
