***Stop Mayking Sense: Talking Heads LC Thread***
Sorry. You wouldn't have wanted to see the post if a mere deletion raises your anxiety level! If it is any comfort, the incident was a few decades ago and the procedure performed by a doc who probably should have given up doing invasive procedures years earlier. And it is the only bad outcome I am personally aware of. Otherwise, only patients with some complaints of pain and discomfort but satisfied with the outcome!
It'll be fine. You may want to change your username to "feel pain" for a day or two, but that's about it. Then feel free to spread your seed while leaving your seed behind!!!
What's a vasectomy...
Meh, found it pretty NBD. Frozen peas on the crotch a few times in the first day for 1/2 an hour.
Frankly, the most disturbing part was the scorching smell as they cauterized the tube.
How do you feel, wrath?
am about 18 hours post op and feel pretty ok. have a throbbing in the area which is uncomfortable and that amplified to be 'pain' a few times. I'm walking in a slow shuffle but that might be partly psychological.
most pain probably came last night. The medicos advise wearing a relatively snug pair or undies to hold things in place and prevent any 'collisions'. I twisted around on the lounge and needed to rearrange the undies but then lost my hold on the elastic and they snapped back into place on top of one of my nuts. That wasn't much fun
I opted for quite a heavy sedation - you can do it with a strong local anaesthetic but I had zero interest in being aware of people cutting and scratching around the crown jewels so asked for what they call 'twilight' sedation. But in reality I was knocked out completely for the entire thing and came around in Recovery. Which i was happy about
an all female surgical team was a mild surprise and the main doc sharing her name with my ex wife...first and surname...was an unpleasant one!
so Tom, I think I'm ok for you to share your story now....unless it involves a day 2 deterioration
That doesn't sound like a lot of fun, but it seems you got out of there in pretty good shape. Funny about the doc and your ex having the same name; glad they didn't have the same attitude!
A few years back I sat in a local poker game that I hadn't been to for a while. I was introduced to a player I didn't know who some of the others later kept calling One Ball. Some years earlier a local doc had snipped one of his testicular arteries rather than the vas he was searching for. As I heard the story, shrinkage ensued. I was told that the guy got a pretty decent settlement, but I don't know what it was--or what amount could make that right.

quoting for potential future comical opportunity
coming from someone one generation removed from dust bowl okie
happy to hear burning feeling in the grapes of wrath is mostly tamed by stern bagging application of frozen peas to johnny and the peaches
Whew... thank god I am shooting blanks

Yeah, it was an odd day for a festival concert. It was a fun show though with 4 new songs performed. Good setlist. Nice to hear To Ramona live again.
It will be fun to see if there is any variety in the setlist over the course of this leg. There hasn't been much over the last few years. I think his age is a factor in that.
Billy Strings is a terrific player. Here is a sublime version of Don't Think Twice, It's alright.
Broken YouTube LinkI'm going to Montreal for a few days. Never been in Quebec before. What should I go see?
Mount Royal Park is turning 150 years old next year.
Designed by FL Olmstead, who also planned several famous college campuses as well as Central Park in NYC, Washington Park in Chicago, and the US Capitol Grounds in DC.
unique opportunity to see a mature landscape designed by a master. the best landscape architects are long dead when their work reaches fruition.
had no idea Dylan was still performing. Haven't ever seen him play.
Am guessing he won't make it out to the land of the kangaroo but also that perhaps seeing him for the first time in his 80s might not be the best thing.

that last part really all depends on how big of a fan you are
if expecting to hear the album version of songs, don't think twice it's not for you
perhaps you desire catching one of the last chances to witness live a performance by certified u.s. beef, you should probably try to see the troubled troubadour soon
still have regrets missing Johnny Cash by exactly one show
You shoulda seen the train a comin'.
Lol me. Just grabbed tickets to the Friday show at the Hollywood Bowl.
I’ve seen Dylan a couple of times there. Last time was 2012ish. Mark Knopfler opened for him and put on quite a show.

You've probably posted this, but how many times have you seen Dylan?
Do you still enjoy seeing him as much as you did when he was younger?

You wouldnβt believe me if I told you, Tom.
As to your second question, I very much enjoy seeing him but in a different way than I did when he was younger.
Every workplace should have a specific break room where talking is strictly prohibited.
You should look into the Diogenes Club.
