Do you guys believe in ghosts/paranormal?

Do you guys believe in ghosts/paranormal?

Feel like most people have a "story" and a lot of them can be contributed to the boiler being on in a old creaky house etc.

i say this because I do think ghost stories and paranormal stories that are told to me in past are just eyeroll bullshit

however

I had one that happened about 10 years ago. I think it was due to homeless people in a campus dorm building that was being renovated ( torn down and rebuilt) me and a buddy snuck in there since its supposedly haunted due to it being a all girls dorm and 2 girls dying in the ladder shaft back in the 60's. supposedly before it was closed tons of students every year would say they would hear like weird things or girls laughing in middle of the night in the bathroom. ofc its a all girls dorm so ldo

I went in this dorm broken in around midnight. When we first walked in we heard chains rattling, then 2 mins later as we are on 2nd floor I hear footsteps above us.

the "haunted floor which was the 3rd floor and to this day, i cannot explain it, as we were walking back since i was irate nothing else happened as we were leaving walking back form the 3rd floor to down the 2nd, i hear what sounds like marbles dropping in the room right to the left of us where we walked by, i stood and was stunlocked I stared at him and he stared at me we were frozen for about 30 sec. and then as I walk to the room down the hall I think I heard a faint sound of a girl giggling, much like what was fabled. so ofc I we ran down and checked both sides of the hallway and the rooms and nothing. very bizarre stuff

but we also found a microwave on somehow someway so either homeless or someone playing tricks on me , maybe my buddy set something up, to this day 10 years later he says no and what he witnessed that night was bizzare

but he was interested in ghosts due to in the 1% chance ghost are "real" what does that mean about the afterlife

still think it was prolly a homeless person even tough we would have sniffed it out the 2 hours we were there but who knows.

also lot of these ghost shows are honestly dogshit and fabricated but the one project fear that i was told to watch in a asylum in WV prolly had a few kids in there with them, I feel Going in these abandoned places at night, its the living to be afraid of

I sleep with a nightlight on.

will OKC beat GSW's 73-9 regular season record this regular season?

I was in bed with my girlfriend on my left. I woke up, and sat up in bed. I was not dreaming.

Down and to the left, somewhat close to her feet, standing in front of our closet, the kind with the rolling door, I see a stereotypical alien. This little humanoid with a big head and big eyes. I did not know if was a space alien or something else, but I guess I judged him to have bad intentions.

I wasn't really sure what to do, but I guess protector mode kicked in and I stood up on the bed and lunged at the alien, with my hands stretched out reaching for its neck.

I smacked into the sliding door headfirst, very loudly and knocked it off the rails. My GF woke up startled. I knew immediately that it was some kind of hallucination and was soon laughing about it. But at the same time, there was no real break in consciousness. It wasn't like waking up from a dream.

In the years since, I've read about similar experiences people have had, often accompanying sleep paralysis. For example, it is common that the evil being will appear to your lower left, whether it's an alien or a demon. But, for whatever reason, I wasn't paralyzed.

Also, if I was in a normal frame of mind, I doubt I would have attacked the alien-like being, so there was something off in that respect.

To answer the question I don't believe in the paranormal but I'm cautiously open minded about the supernatural. I think I could go to some place thought to be haunted and not be scared at all. Could their be a higher consciousness or an afterlife? Maybe.

I've seen aliens maybe 15 or 20 times in my life upon waking up. They look like higher dimensional spiders floating above me and they disappear in a few seconds.

Maybe the first time was alarming, and then I got used to it.

They aren't real aliens imo. Just pieces of a quickly fading dream-state, perhaps turned on by psychiatric meds.

I get ghosted by women all the time, it's totally real.

GOAT poltergeist.

The paranormal is just "normal" that we haven't figured out how to explain yet. It's all just the natural world

I believe in ghosts. I've heard too many stories from people I trust to not believe. I've always wanted to see one, and maybe I did once, but I think they know that and won't oblige.

I have woken up "paralyzed" with fear twice, once was when I thought I'd seen a ghost; the other was after a dream when I was being chased by a gang in NYC. Horrible feeling. I tried to scream and couldn't make a sound or move/get up for a few minutes.

I suffered a pretty serious concussion in my 20s and experienced my own perception of reality being greatly skewed from what was actually occurring for weeks/months. It made me realize just how fragile and subjective our perception of reality is.

Therefore, I do believe that countless people have experienced the paranormal in a way that feels totally real. I believe that they believe it's 100% truth. Whether it's an actual reality that proves the existence of ghosts or whatever, I have serious doubts. Our perception simply isn't as reliable as we think.

like OP, I don't really believe other peoples' stories but I have my own one that is too crazy for me not to believe and one of my daughters 'sees' ghosts and says it in such a matter of fact way that I totally believe her

when I was 30, my best friend died suddenly. His name was Alun but we called him AL

Totally out of the blue...he had something called cardiomyopathy, where one of his ventricles had a thicker wall and very very occasionally, for no reason at all the heart just stops working. that's what happened to him. I still miss him today but at the time it was a huge amount of sorrow and loss

About a month after the funeral, I was playing golf with my dad. He was asking me about Al. At the next tee, as I was about to drive the ball, I thought about him and as a result, I shanked the ball onto the next fairway. As I walked off to find my ball, I was laughing because when he and I played, we used to attempt to distract each other during our downswing. And here he was, even in death, distracting me and causing a bad shot.

I spent about 5 minutes searching for my ball but couldn't find it. All of a sudden I saw a different ball sitting in the middle of the fairway that I was sure I hadn't seen in the preceding few mins. Nobody else was in sight. I walked up to look at the ball and written all over it was the word

AL

craziest thing ever, I got this huge adrenalin shot and immediately got this huge sense of wellbeing that he was ok and sending me a message. I still have the ball today

Wow!

I wouldn't say I believe in paranormal powers as much as I believe it is a paranormal universe (as compared to mundane, overly fundamentalist science view of things).
