New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Just got my 91-year-old father the 2 for $5 Hardees breakfast deal, the biscuits & gravy. It's not great value but it sure beats the regular 1 for $4 price.

Pretty good service at this Hardee's, seem to know what they're doing. And the biscuits are undeniably good. But I still prefer Whataburger.

Protip: whenever ordering a Chicago dog, always make it a double dog.

Good lord!
I love hot dogs as much as anybody (in fact I had a couple tonight while I fed my outside cat some sliced turkey some health nut left in the fridge), but I've never seen anything like that!

How much was that? Dirt Dogs in Vegas are close to ten bucks.

Yeah, not far off. 5.50 for a single, 7.75 for a double. Dogflation is wack.

Was feeling still hungry after dinner last night. Warm out, so took the long route to the store via McBurgers, and had my first-ever McFlurry.

It's just ice cream with some topping (m&ms in my case) in a small paper container. I liked that it was smaller than DQ's blizzard (I think), as I just needed a spot of something. It was nice.

It also appealed to my pedantic (not sure if right word?) nature that they used mini m&ms to make the mini McFlurry.

peculiar nature is maybe better fitting but nice TR!

I'm in your neck of the woods. I'm visiting my son in the Baltimore area. Went to the Raising Canes on Snowden River Parkway. It's easily the best Raising Canes I've ever been to. So tender and juicy!!

My son mentioned it on his prior visits and I now agree.

Put it on your list.

The not-nice part is they are expensive AND small.

$2.69 didn't seem unreasonable. Seems like the similar blizzard is ~$5, but it's been awhile. Might be misremembering.

heh, reminds me of dating my now ex-wife. She was mortified at me saving and using ff coupons, even grocery coupons. But I actually sold her on the idea over time, showed her how it was like a fun game anyone could play. Less about being painfully cheap, more about the thrill of the chase.

This was what I was getting at, thought for sure divorce for Mark, HAHA.

My wife and I are two peas in a pod. 😀

Went to a potluck where someone brought taco fixins, except their taco beef was gawdawful. luckily someone brought some great pulled pork that saved the day

Reminded me that I used to make taco bell style crunchies at home; these used to be at Winco, haven't seen them in a while so I pulled the trigger at AMZN

0.82 cents each, not bad. I used to make a batch and have taco beef for days

Royal with Cheese

“That’s not my photo.”

Lol. Get bent, TB.

Only $3 each!

JULY 2ND FF VALUE BRIEF

1) i regret buying $20 worth of taco bell seasoning
2) free any size fries at jitb with $1 order (pair with two tacos for $1 for an ultimate gut cleansing)
3) BK's offers kind of suck atm, but I think they run a free fries all the time
4) MCD any size fries offer is now .50 more
5) Wendys free any size fries with purchase

It looks like all the big players are going on the free fries bandwagon. I'm a fan of that, I can get max value but the corporations also get their $$$ from the rubes.

awesome Little Caesars review

Went to IKEA for lunch. Swedish meatballs FTW!

I saw today's special was pasta, sauce, meatballs for $2

Haven't had ikea meatballs in a long time. They are good.
Had the costco lunch. Can't be a better value out there

oh bro... you're kidding right?
I went for breaky one time and it ruined my entire day

I love that Costco lunch! I still miss the Combo pizza.

Dude, your digestive system can't handle some delicious meatballs and gravy?

Never turn down a gift from SWEDEN!!! 😀

It’s like super basic thanksgiving dishes. What kind of delicate stomach can’t handle an IKEA meal? Lol

Had to be food poisoning or user error.
