New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

My current Subway coupons are good through 2/8. I can see myself eating a lot of Subway over the next month. And every fourth one is free! Though I'll never pay full price for anything from there. It's gotta be BOGO or better.
I can't think of a single restaurant, FF or otherwise, that I refuse to eat at. I just don't get it. But, to each their own.
I'm not a never Subwayer, but the next closest thing - I'll only go there if I have no other options. Except for once a year when I have the need for a meatball sub, Subway style.
They were pretty generous last year with BOGO offers iirc, I think I got two meatballs for like $12.
There are so many better options.
I can't think of any I refuse to eat at, I just haven't needed to eat at Subway, there always seems to be a Jersey Mike's within range. Or Firehouse if I have a meatball craving.
To clarify, if I had to…and it’s hard for me to fathom a scenario where this would be, eat at a Subway, I guess I would. But as most of you have said it’s the worst sandwich option/there are so many better ones, so why would I ever go there? I don’t want coupons for horrible sandwiches, I’d rather pay for a good sandwich. And it’s not like they’re a good business you want to support, they’re pretty terrible to their franchisees as far as I can remember.
Literally no reason to go.
Yeah, I’d rather pay 3x as much for a giant from Jersey Mike’s.
Anti-Subway people are a lot like vegans. They absolutely will not pass up an opportunity to tell you about it.

conversely easy underscoring outlawed optimal foot long veg and condiment additions to a toasted high gluten multigrain yet still white bun consumed by someone other than another poptartart american
in my experience it's been a fatal combination of:
- better options (i.e. better sandwich chains like jersey mikes, or any FF in general combined with the point below)
- lower prices at other chains for lunch options
An $8 footlong as the baseline fairs poorly against my standard ff options. I do think subway is an important part of the ff ecosystem, unfortunately the one closest to me closed during covid, replaced by a likker store.
Starting to think y'all are making ff decisions more important than they actually are.
I drove through a snowstorm to try Dave's Hot Chicken. 2 Tenders for $5 each is wack -- they were approximately half the size of Howlin Ray's tenders at Venetian. While they weren't bad or anything, I can't see myself visiting more than once a year or so.
I had Jersey Mike's delivered last night. I wanted something cold so went with a #8 Mike's way, no onion. First time having Jersey Mike's and it was great. Though the bastards forgot my brownie.
Not sure what 8 is, but my reg is the club, mike's way.
Lol, yep
I prefer the Club supreme which has rosbif and Swiss instead of ham and provolone.
#13 get it mike's way. Somebody ITT thread said to add peppers which sounds like good idea too.

The Original Italian
Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni
Nothing says Jersey Mike's more than our Original Italian sub. A truly authentic Jersey-style Italian sub, it's crafted with provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. Order a giant Original Italian sub Mike's Way for one truly memorable experience.
When the famous bowls are $5 or under I will go to KFC for those. They have the 8 piece chicken or tenders for $10 deal on Tuesdays which is also nice.
I'm not one to turn down a free meal but when a boss asks me if I want anything and say they are going to Subway I do turn that offer down. Port O Subs is an equally bad chain sandwich shop around here I'd decline as well.
If you're a TFK on a bulk, Chipotle has free double protein, tomorrow only (1/13) with code PROTEIN in the app.
