New fast food discussion/review thread

They're being prepped for less dine-in seating, less employees, and more apping.

They want you in your car, leaving, and don't really care about the inferior product being given to you by the overworked skeleton crew.

A couple weeks ago, my Burger King got remodeled. It looks great except they took away over half the seating. idk. There's lots of elbow room now.

Also, after the California fast food wage hike and corresponding price hike the Whopper Wednesday $3 Whopper deal is starting to look like an amazing deal!

I was considering a Wendy's lunch (singles 2/$8 in app) but noticed that the nearby Culvers was offering single bacon deluxes for $3.50. Cheaper and with bacon too? Sign me up!

It definitely makes for a more bacon-forward experience, but I liked it. A+, would eat again.

Yeah, JITB is advertising Pineapple Express shakes and having some kind of free something till 4/21.

My BK had some kind of problem with storm damage last summer. They are taking their sweet time rebuilding/remodeling it. There's no activity around it, I'll be shocked if it's done in less than a year.

My BK was remodeled in 3 days. Scary fast when you see all the work completed.

But then again, awhile back my local TacoBell was torn down and rebuilt on a different part of the lot in less than a week. I have no idea how they got all the permits and inspections done that fast.

Yes, I watched a McDonald's get torn down to the slab and rebuilt in a few weeks. It looked pretty much the same as the old one. I don't know why they did it unless there was some structural reason, termites, etc.

As usual, McMuffin is correct. I did eat it again. I downloaded the Culvers app to see if it was of any value and I noticed that the menu price for the bacon single was $3.50, so I could feast again.

Seriously, this bacon is a game changer.

Noticed the Qdoba was open again. Stuck my head in, didn't notice much in the way of changes. Maybe a couple fewer tables, but still plenty of seating. I think a new floor, but didn't seem different in any other way.

Maybe it was just time to clean it up a bit?

Today only, Chili's is offering $20 in bonus cards with $50 in gift cards.

Chili's bonus cards are almost identical to cash.

Maybe the major work was kitchen related?

Franchisors require periodic “refresh” of all locations for most models-generally it involves both front and back of house and it depends how long the period is how extensive the changes may be
