Do you have livestock to worry about? Why else would you be out at midnight in a backwards hurricane fixing a gate?

It is a swing gate so it was swinging back against the fence every time a new gust came through and it is a pretty heavy gate.

Glad you came through with minimal damage! How's that ditch looking beside you?

Very effective

I had a very similar thought.

well... the VAST majority of the population live in the coastal areas.

I mean, they do throw another shrimp on the barbi.

Hm. I thought you'd been, mark.

The bits of Oz I've been to are pretty great. But that's pretty limited; Sydney, Whitsundays, and Red Centre.

Nope. Dominican Republic (I was there for the BIG Haiti earthquake), Costa Rica twice (once for a guided tour of the whole country/once for a wedding at Osa Peninsula, and a cruise that stopped in a few Mexican locations. That's the extent of my international travel although I've been to all but 5 states.

Walkabout is such a fantastic film...

Yeah it is mainly bushland for many living in suburbia

Guys supposed to start demo on bathroom in ~ half an hour.

Also, today's the 25th anniversary of me buying this pile of bricks and sticks.

Kind of momentous, I guess.

"You buy it, you break it" or something like that.

Starting demo on a Saturday? Ambitious crew. Making hay while the sun shines.

I am excite...

progress photos, we are all hoping for the best

First day of demo

No turning back now!

Yep. The point of no return was reached one crowbar and two hammers ago.

I didn't notice before, but are you getting rid of those awful gold fixtures?

Nope. I like the polished brass look, even though nobody else does.

under floor heating?

what color paint afterwards?

I'm thinking about under floor heating even though I'd need it like twice a year, lol.

Nah, no under floor heating.

Same paint after.

I wonder how much of my affinity for the brighter colors/finishes is due to my pre-cataract-surgery vision, when things were slowly getting darker.

Get the under floor heating if you have the option.

I like gold fixtures and I think they are in right now. They'd actually go great in my house, but I'd have to replace a lot.

However, I'd replace the ones you have.

that's not a Vent in the floor next to the tub?
