Pretty nice, eh? It's overcast with a bit of snow, so the flat light probably doesn't do it justice.

Is this worse than the packers theme they had it painted in before?

Not sure what you mean by "Packers theme", or how you know what it used to look like. If it's truly the Packers' colors (dark green and gold), probably not.

If it was just yellow and green, then definitely yes.

Amazing

not nice if you post family pictures next

I'm eagerly anticipating the color rush versions!

Is this anything

^you still left some painters tape...

If you can't trust AI slop what can you trust.

I'd say Jack's example is less awful than the Avs' house. It looks familiar, to my neighborhood. Should I be worried that there's some stalking going on?

While I have not done stalking in this specific instance, given a house number and a general area it's ridiculously easy to find the specific house if the county has a halfway decent real estate information site.

It’s not stalking really, it took 30 seconds on google with the house number and the name of the town.

I don't mind stalkers. Always nice to meet new people! 😀

Always nice to meet new people! 😀

Stand your ground!!

sure wish we had some april stalkers after all those tall backyard weeds start springing
otherwise the soil could stand more fertilizer, coffee ground plant tea, and patience

Sebastian in today, finished up the niche and put the shelves in the shower area.

The GCs were here this morning, sounds like next week the shower glass and plumbing guys will be ready to install the glass, toilet and shower controls. Maybe the trim guy too, can't remember for sure.

We're talking about making a built-in where the tub used to be. Haven't really discussed in any detail other than, "I think I have some stain which will match pretty ok, I've been using it to fix nicks in the woodwork," and "some adjustable shelves." Not really necessary, just something to take up some of that extra space.

I think the finish line is in sight. Pleased with how it's coming out.

Looking at that shower, I feel cleaner already

you should be pleased goldie, that's looks great
so much fun to see how your remodel is turning out
obviously the window controls the height of anything built in, but would a place to sit next to a slightly taller cabinet to store towels and such be beneficial?
thinking the sitting place is closest to the shower and cabinet againt the bedroom wall

Don't really need storage. The linen closet is just outside, in the hall (other side of the wall from the far end of the vanity). However, taking up space is good, so I imagine it will be some storage.

Maybe I should take MSchu's idea from the tree, and put a planter in there.

Tried to store the extra shower tile in the vanity yesterday. They weren't going easily due to the water supply pipes. I probably could've gotten them in there, but that's some of what will go in the new storage, I imagine.

Was thinking a chair or something, but having a sitting area in the bath doesn't feel quite right. I suppose for a young couple, who might be nursing an infant, that might be good, but not for me, I don't think.

Unless, of course, it's one of those kind of swings, to go along with the party shower. But I'm too old for that sort of thing.

I would like a better place to sit in the bathroom other than the edge of the tub.

a nice 'tallish' ficus would grow there nicely.

I am this one growing in my front guest bedroom...

Up there today, looked at the pieces of trim which were removed. Simple pine casing. Some pieces were 2" tall, some 2 1/2". Strange.

Turns out that the baseboard beyond the vanity (into the toilet room and closet) was the 2.5" variety, and the outer stuff was 2" (along with the stuff out in the hall--I assume the rest of the house). No idea why Richmond used a different size, though same style, of trim for those two rooms.

Went up to HD to get some replacement. Naturally, they only have 2 1/4" height. A little poking around on the internet doesn't reveal any 2" or 2.5" nearby, but I haven't looked seriously yet.

Since it's kind of by itself back in those rooms, hardly the end of the world if it doesn't quite match. It hasn't for 29 years I guess. Mentioned to the GC that we may have to audible.

------------------------

On the space where the tub was, I tried to visualize putting in storage. I'm the worst in the world at seeing things without physical examples. But, I got out my measuring tape and poked around.

Figured if we built storage along the BR wall, there would be a T-shaped part of floor open (the main walkway and a little between the storage and shower). If we built it under the window, the open area would look better. A more-or-less rectangular area next to the walkway.

So I mentioned to the contractor that idea. Not sure if storage should got wall-to-tile, be window-sized, or something else for its width. But probably something on the window wall, underneath it.

We'll see what the guys have to say. They've got experience, I'm sure they'll have good feedback.

Here's who I have used for my trim. I had a couple of spots where I needed a different height baseboard and they could get it. Can't hurt to ask.

Thank you, AquaSwing! I will look into them.

Came up with another idea. I looked at the chunks of 2" (rest of house) baseboard. A couple pieces came off the side around the door to the vanity, so they should re-install. Now we have the problem of 2" baseboard continuing from the BR, around where the tub used to be.

If the storage becomes an L-shaped set of shelves (running along the BR wall and under the window), that might take care of that. No trim on the ex-tub area due to the storage being there.

Then, if the rest of the room is all 2.25", who cares? There's separation between the sections, no one will ever notice (except me & you guys).

Have not discussed this idea with the guys to see how possible/ridiculous it is. I'd have to get about 40' of the new casing and stain it up.

We discussed the storage being 18" deep. Did not find select pine or oak > 12" at either Lowe's or HD. Did see some3/4"x16"x6' spruce boards at Lowe's which could take some stain. Will discuss with the guys, or see if they have a different idea for sourcing this stuff.

Got home after dealing the Legion game last night, and the bathroom door is ajar. Strange, I'd moved a chair in front of it (to make sure I didn't go in there in the middle of the night), at which time I roll it closed.

Pleasantly surprised to find this:

Shower in, toilet in. Get the glass up, figure out the trim and restore the closet shelves. A bit of paint touch-up. Sebastian needs to finish up silicone. Getting close.
