Bay 101 - $100.-$200. Limit HE with Straddle
Bay 101 has a $100-$200 limit game with a straddle. The game is reportedly loose aggressive. We are debating what BR is needed for a strong winning player?
Some, who have played the game on occasion claim you need at least $500K+ or more. That is 2,500 BB or the equivalent of 200 racks.
Even a loose aggressive swinging game, that seems too high, for a top level winning limit HE player. Thoughts?

I've heard similar numbers from a guy who basically learned to play LHE in this game's ancestor which was only an 80/160. He's dead now but I think what he meant was that he lost about $500k in the process of learning to play well enough to stop losing.
Maybe the regulars are trolling you because the want to keep you out of their game.
Maybe the people you talked to are former fish with histories similar to the acquaintaince I mentioned.
I was a regular every day player in the 80 160 game before it converted to a straddle game. My estimates are that the straddle increased my variance by approximately 50%. Every players variance is a product of a variety of factors with the most basic being if you're a winning player in the specific game of which you are speaking? If not, then no bankroll is sufficient.

If a lifelong winning High Limit LHE player played on the $100./$200.wStraddle, a must BR of at least $500K, = 2,500 BB, 200 Racks, seems very high. Could you lose that much(net) over a 3month, 6 month to year? I would have to say not a winning player.

Don’t you think most all players overrate their ability? If you lose the equivalent of 2,500 BB, 200 racks, net, over 3,6 months a year, perhaps the person is not as good as they think?
