Do I pitch the 8 here?

100%. 12 outs 3 times, you are very likely to improve. And if you don't improve, you were often going to lose that half with an 8. And if you catch the 4 or 3 you can really pump up the pot, knowing you have a good chance to scoop. With a likely one-way hand, you would possibly not raise on later streets, to keep the pot 3-handed.
