I'd get it all in. The chances of you getting scooped are tiny. The chances of you scooping are also small, but you will scoop at least 5x as often as you get scooped. It is just so hard for a straight in your hand to lose in this game.

I dunno Greg, it seems like we scoop literally 0% here, and I can think of an obvious hand that scoops us (higher straight in villain's hand / board). I would call.

How often do you think villain will have a higher straight, or better, in his hand? That is super rare, IME. But I have played maybe only 1-2 thousand hands of this game lifetime, so maybe my experience is off.

isnt this a 2-7 Drawmaha hand while playing Drawmaha?? Should i be limping this hand on the Bttn?

This would be a great Drawmaha 2-7 hand but we are playing high only. I have a decent draw hand that can make some scoops so I assume it’s a worth an overlimp on the button.

I've played less hands than that by far, but this is just a "guess the logic" puzzle I think. What's more likely, that villain has that rare higher straight in his hand, or that villain decides to check pot this board with a hand we can scoop? What hand even is that? TTT in his hand? I have never really played mid/high stakes poker with a player that would do this.

How is it possible to scoop when 23467 is never getting the Hand Held 1/2?

What "straight in his hand"?? 24567 isnt a str8 ...what am I missing here?

Draw maha is best hand in hand and flopped hand....yes? Or just best flopped hand. I'm lost...

Best Omaha hand on board and best five card hand in your hand, split pot with one draw after the flop.

He drew one card and made a 4-8 straight in his hand and a t high straight for the Omaha hand.

I agree with DD that we are never scooping once we get check potted on. I think the decision is between call and fold. We probably get half often enough but I’m not sure.

River sizing is a bit greedy, villain is going to have nut diamonds a ton when he bets this flop 5-way and draws 1. Him not x/ring the turn does still cap a lot of the hands that scoop though and suggests your 5c hand is ahead, as he should want to charge you from filling up or blow you off winning hands incorrectly on the river if you have the nut flush instead are are concerned about board pairing, etc.

Is villain scooping more than 1 in 6 times? Seems extremely unlikely, so call should be correct.

I think most of villain's range is nut flush plus whatever in his hand. He knows he can't get scooped, so why not raise and maybe get a fold from a hand that chops with him.

However, there are plenty of folks out there who might play a hand like TTTxy this way, again, figuring their trips in hand has to be good for half, and trying to get you to fold a straight or a weak flush on board. Maybe something like AATTx with the bare Ad as well.

But I'm not saying I'm sure I'm right. And most of my experience is limit drawmaha, not pot limit. I've only got about 4 hours of pot limit experience in this game. But in both games, I see a lot of aggressive plays that are quite "hopeful".
