Completing with the Bring in:Stud 8
There was a discussion about whether one should ever bring it in for a complete at Stud 8. Both players (one a well known star) seemed to advocate it. I noticed one particularly aggressive player completing very frequently.
It seems to me this is a bad idea, unless you are very balanced in both ranges. Even given, that, I am not sure it is a good strategy.
At least twice the VAP completed on hands where I would have tried a late position steal, and could quietly fold. I was also able to steal his bring in with garbage, since he was left with a range that couldn't defend a steal.
Should I try to develop a range for this? If so, what should it look like?

It's bad but there is one tournament exception (when ICM matters) - if you are very short stacked and get the bringin it would be good to BI full if you have a hand you have to go with no matter what. You really want to discourage steals now
