What is going on ?
Hey there!
I hope you're doing well.
I wanted to share something with you.
Although I'm not a winning player just yet, I don't want to complain about it. However, something strange has been happening since January 1st, 2024, and I can't quite put my finger on it.
I've been playing poker for years, so I have a good understanding of the game. Last year, around October, I made the decision to take poker more seriously. I started studying and playing almost every day for at least 7 hours.
Things were going great for a few months. I had some deep runs, made it to final tables, and managed to significantly increase my bankroll. But now that 2024 has arrived and I've started playing on January 1st, I feel completely lost. It's hard to explain, but I just can't seem to make any progress.
I'm having trouble connecting my cards with the community cards. Whenever I do, I usually end up with a draw that never gets completed. Or, if I do connect with a strong hand like top pair with a good kicker, a set, or two pair, my opponent always seems to have a draw that they immediately hit on the next street. For example, when I 3-bet with AKs, the flop comes 1098 with different suits. Or when I have AJ on the small blind with only 10 big blinds left and obviously need to shove to the big blind with 35 big blinds, they always wake up with a top range hand. It's frustrating because my pocket pairs always seem to lose as well.Just today and yestreday i recive KK nine times and i win just one of them ..2 times it was vs AA but 6x they cracked.
I don't mean to complain or sound weak, but this has been happening to me for the past two months and I'm really struggling to cope with it. What steps should I take?
And not just crying here thinkink that im the best player who should win everything but it seems really unnatural to me that something like that happening for such a long time ..
Im also watching a alot of people streaming poker and what i see on their deskop and what i going on on mine seems like different game to me.
Also have plenty of photos and videos if anyone would like too see..
Judging by the way you played those hands you may actually be the worst poker player I've ever seen.
I'll explain why: if your equity is 87% pre and you lose it doesn't matter: you suck. I'll tell you one story; one that regs wouldn't want you to know, but the true way to win at poker is developping a "sense of winning". Forget everything you know about poker. Next time you're dealt AA try to visualize the flop before it comes: if the flop's bad then fold pre.
I know it sounds crazy but this is
LOL
Charlie Carrel says something similar. You need to think positive, if you don't think positively you will never flop a set.
But positivity is not always about flopping good. Positivity helps you with bluffing too. You need to visualize the opponent folding, if you do it very well he will 100% fold.
Of course if you buy Charlie's course about live tells you will gain the skill of soul reading people. That's super important for exploitative poker.
That's the truth behind the game, depressed people will never ever win. You need to be a sigma male

I know it sounds crazy but this is how literally every HS player wins: they have developped the ability to know what will come and act accordingly.
people will laugh thinking you are joking but this is real. It's why I tell ppl AA doesnt win every time even when you get it all in preflop so to avoid that you fold preflop once in a while with a randomizer

But how do you know the times you fold with the randomizer will be the times you would have lost?
