The Hand that Made a Crusher Rage! (30k winner vs 3k winner)
On Sunday I won the MTT Sunday Huntsman, first for just under 600 SC. (Pic Related)
The guy in seconds sharkscope is shown below. (He f----ing crushes)
Following the huntsman, I ran into him in the micro series tourney. He, as per usual, was talking crap to some player in lobby. I replied something akin to... "If it makes you feel better; I crushed him last night for first over second in the huntsman, but on the other hand, he placed second in the huntsman. Dude crushes if you look at his sharkscope"
He has trolled people on multiple occassions in multiple lobbies; only makes sense it would be my turn.
The reason? The hand that essentially won me the huntsman. He was upset about it still and went off for a solid 10 minutes about how bad I played the hand that won me the tourney. (in essense).
Here is that hand: https://play.globalpoker.com/gp/10/hand/...
Notice the check on the river; legit felt like Johnny Chan in that moment; he raises about pot; I go all in, he calls.
Normally I take great effort to scrub any identifying info of a player that could be seen in a bad light; not for this guy. He crushes; yet continues to bitch about everything in every hand he loses. He bitched at me because he said I called his pot sized bets with 4 high. That's such a ridiculous statement, that really doesn't even remotely cover how the hand actually played out. (...but ya, I did)

Edit/MH: In case the hand link doesn't open because of where you are in the world, it was thus:
Its funny because you got max value on the river and STILL lost money (on average) making that turn call.

My thinking was -> I don't make on river, I fold, I still have 49bb and that's enough to take him on with another hand.
If I make my hand; I'll probably stack him; finish him off fairly easily thereafter.
When it did come up; Instead of jamming on river; I checked to set the trap. I think he'd have folded to a jam.
We can argue GTO and +EV until we're blue in the face, and I have my own opinions about it, but you're simply correct from the perspective you guys have. From my perspective you're still correct; but missing the bigger picture.

Id hope you would fold if you miss the river.... you beat 2 hands

You sound like a genius, and I feel like being enlightened. Please elaborate on all this.
You sound like a genius, and I feel like being enlightened. Please elaborate on all this.
Aside from my joke comment of really wanting a 2....the real answer is..
If you are playing HU or at short handed table in a tournament setting with consideration of pot odds; you're (probably) doing it wrong. Similarly, sometimes having really good pot odds at a final table is actually a fold, due to ICM considerations.
So why go in with a bad hand when it's an unlikely hand to be made? Because when that hand hits; he'll never put me on it.
The bigger picture is something like -> Everything everybody says (GTO, 3bets, folds, calls, raises, all that jazz) -> knowing when to break the rules not because it's +EV on average, but because you have met all requirements to break the rules.
Winning isn't achieved by the average of all your games, it's achieved by winning the f---ing game.
As for the sarcasm of calling me a genius; we all know what you're really doing, and it's just unpleasant.
I like the play. Everyone wants to win the tournament, but no one wants to pay the price to do it : chase a gutshot to do it, weak p*****s.
Some people, pros even, won't chase gutshots. They can't handle the swings.
As above, so below
You're lucky I like that TV show. Otherwise there's a chance I'd be toxic.
Let me ask you this. Do I have any chips after the hand should I lose said hand? Yes? How many? Is it enough to tighten up if I don't hit the gutshot that will win me basically his whole stack? Yes.
LAG -> TAG -> Premiums -> TAG -> LAG/TAG (decided by stacks) in that order is every single tournament.
Tourney start -> Approaching bubble -> Post bubble chaos as people who solely wanted to make ITM go all in with their short stack -> Final Table or final 2 tables ( more tables depending on tourney size) -> 4-2 people left. (approximately the areas the changes are made)
You can break it down into charts; and those are mathematically accurate; the above is a winning tournament generalization.
And dont forget that if you hit the gutshot and stack him to win the tournament, then you get to post it on 2+2 to show how sick you are.
Thats the type of EV that a solver can never account for.
hey man I've only won a sunday million and a cake 250k, what do I know
maybe the rules are different in the "global huntsman"

This guy just gets it.
That's exactly right. I expect the same from each of you moving forward.
Edit: Actually though; aside from the jokes; I just won a tournament and got the final table captured on OBS, so I can upload the footage to show you how I don't sweat being small stacked against an opponent, and how I can still win with 40 bb vs something like 120bb. I played a lot of heads up before I started playing tournaments, and I'm not great...but I can stomach them better than others IMO.

They are; the rules are different. They let just anyone play in the Sunday Million and Cake 250k, they don't let just anyone play in microstakes. You have to be made of steel like superman and pass a bullet proof test.
that's true, i'm sorry

Here ya go; I edited my most recent final table; and
The full final table is the same video; but
You can see we start even; I get down to about 20bb vs his 140bb and bring it back.

I am just being honest here......
There are very few posters here who understand the reasons to play off script (for lack of a better description). I fully realize that there are times to play the player and times to play ICM. I make more adjustments than most. Maybe 99%.
You are literally talking to a brother here.
That said, thay turn call was brutal. You played bad and got lucky. No other way to think about it.
you made a post that brought me around to thinking this is a very funny gimmick account but then deleted it so now I will admit I can't tell if I'm being levelled
if this is a joke account, it's very funny and I like it
if this is serious, you're playing bad, but everyone can improve and I first got a lot better because people told me I was playing bad
you probably won't improve if you insist you already know better though

Yeah; because I haven't been winning in tournaments nor have I been reading books to get better.
You can find where I posted insights from part one of 'kill everyone... - so clearly I am coming from a place of knowing everything; right? Or am I looking to get better while also looking to contribute positively to the forum?
End of day; I won the tournament, right? You're upset it would lose most times, and you consider it a bad play. It worked that time though, right? Ok, then enough said, it was the right play for that moment in time. Thanks.
...and I can't stress this enough; I'm more than comfortable with the amount of bb I had left and could tighten up had the 2 not popped on river. I understand; you guys are looking at it through your lens of inability to 1v1, and only being able to make GTO decisions based on pot odds and the like. That 15bb to risk it would be too much for you to come back from. It's not for me, and you can watch me do exactly that in this video here ->
You get nervous at final table heads up with low stack....that's ok. I don't get nervous over any stack size at final table.
As for my funny posts being removed; mods removed them, and I've been informed there is a harry potter type banning system. If you get too many points, you get banned. I'm really excited to win house cup though. Calling others names is 10 points, and skipping potions class is 350 points. (not joking)
I mean at some point you're either going to look back on posts like this and laugh at how dumb you were being or you're not and that's gonna be directly correlated with whether you ever actually get good
and yeah you can definitely win money at poker at shitstakes tournaments while playing bad lol
"End of day; I won the tournament, right? You're upset it would lose most times, and you consider it a bad play. It worked that time though, right? Ok, then enough said, it was the right play for that moment in time. Thanks."
this is such insane fishy logic that if it's not a joke you're doomed

Yep. It is gotten to the point that it is worth wondering if they are some super user who it playing bad and winning because of the "help";and they just come here to troll and semi brag.
Share your sharkscopes or shut the **** up.
At least I have the balls to hold myself accountable to it; whereas you all are just talking bullshit, and it's enough.
I'd rather get banned telling you what I really think, and what I really think is that if you had any balls at all; you'd have your stats public as well...you don't, because you're cowards.
I doubt the below is the extent of stephans online play, otherwise he should really stfu more than ever. You claim huge tournaments and that's fine, but you're just wrong, and I'm done discussing this.
