Saying I wont shove J10 no more is too cut and dry statement to be correct, and to me it seems to be telling you are not learning anything from what heÂ’s teaching you.

That hand was easy.

Check check
He bets 5k you call
Played like that it leaves very little options for him in the river, if he shove itÂ’s a massive overbet where you only chop or lose, and if he bets again reasonably itÂ’s not that bad a hand to lose and youÂ’re not out of the tournament.

The “he makes quads 1 time out of 3000 times” is a weird statement here because, well, it’s just bad poker.

If you go all-in with aces preflop, and he calls with 76o and he flops quads, now you can call the fire department and say your house is on fire and that it happens 1 times out of 3000Â… but as is, it wasnÂ’t hard for him to flop quads because itÂ’s not a committing preflop call for himÂ… so all the times where his 76 missed he can just fold.

Thing is, you got trapped. ThereÂ’s 3 sevens on the board, someone having quads is a possibility. Not talking stats and probability, just saying, itÂ’s possible. Him checking quads on the flop, is also possible, so why the **** are you all-in here?

Fact that you lose to a trapper and that you are played like a fiddle by a trapper speaks to me that your ground base game is full of holes and weaknesses.

So yeah a good advice for you is back to basics. ThatÂ’s my pro advice, go learn abc poker and stick to it for a while.

ban op for playing a $1 hyper mtt imo
