2023 (break even)- 2024 need to crush
What’s up 2+2.
I wanted to do something I’ve never done before. I feel like now is a good time, as doing this will allow me to hold myself more accountable and allow for some constructive criticism.
I wanted to come in here to start an interactive thread about my goals in 2024 and beyond. I want to post my results, hand histories and be able to talk about my journey with the community. My plan is to post a few times a week.
I will keep a few pieces of information about myself anonymous. However, my results will be very transparent.
I will be playing mostly live NLH 1/3 (match the stack) and 2/5 (1k-1.5k max).
I took about a 3 years off for personal reasons from about February 2020 until October 2021, played a little bit then. And then again till about June 2023.
Prior to February 2020, I had some online and live MTT success, however my live cash game hours were kind of low. live cash games are my main focus now. I have a full time job and I I have been playing poker about 25-60 hours a month.
After my time off from poker, I came back this past June and have put in 425ish hours since then, but have I have been breaking even. Very swingy to say the least. First few hundred hours got me into the swing of things and I feel very comfortable with where my game is the last 150 hours or so.
So, I just want to share my previous years graphs, and the current one.
2018-2020:
2023:
Hopefully this will help keep me motivated to grind and help me stay focused on my poker goals.
Potential for a decent hourly is there. Just need to keep grinding.
(2024 goals. Primarily, Play 80-100 hours a month and secondly win as much as I can)

Much appreciated! Thank you.
I plan on posting a weekly recap, every Sunday. This week I will post current January recap. In between recaps, I will try and post hands which I thought were interesting. Would love some constructive feedback on the hands. So, thought I’d post one from the last session of 2023.
This hand took place at the tail end of a 15 hour session.

I’m very familiar with the Lag. He can mix it up pretty good. We have played multiple 3 and 4 bet pots the last few times we played at same table.
What’s our play?
