My journey of playing MTT poker for a living.

My journey of playing MTT poker for a living.

Yooo!

I'm Tim, from Ljubljana, Slovenia, currently playing poker full time for around 2years. Till now I reached the point to be able
to make some monthly money with pokerinho and start living a bit better more chill life then I was before with my previous shity
job and lifestyle in general.
But now I came to the point where I want to take my game to the next level, to get better in the game, play a bit higher
stakes, be able to earn more money and become more solid poker player in general,
which would alow me to easier achieve my goals and live even more fulfilled life in incoming years.

My year couldn't start any better, since I was accepted into BitB poker team and will now put all my time and focus required to reach
goals that I/we have set.

While on that yourney and further on, I really wanna share publicly my weekly thoughts, experiences, good/bad events, on and off the tables
that happen to me on daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Why I'm doing that, tbh I have multiple reasons. One of them is that being consistent with writting all this down and sharing with others,
keeps me extra motivated, helps me to sustain my consistency in all aspects of life and helps me to be consistently GRATEFUL
for the awesome life that I live.
Other reasons are aswell getting feedback (both positive and negative), suggestions from others, different ways of thinking and in general
being engaged with other people and other minds.
I think having some kind of journaling or writting down thoughts in general helps every human being and this blog is gonna be one part
of journaling of my life/career.

What I'l usually do is post every monday kind of "weekly review" and try to talk about things that happen in previous week.
Obviously its gonna be quite poker related, but since I talk poker already everywhere else and discuss all the strategies and approaches etc,
I'll try to make it as much "lifestyle" kind of blog here.
I'll do my best to review most important things that happened in a week, talk about weekly poker goals, weekly sports goals, relationship goals,
things I could do better, things I did very good at etc etc.

I hope if you do spend time to read my weekly posts, that you find it interesting and easy to read.

Next time I'll post, will be on monday. Till then I wish you all the best and goodluck on/off the tables.

Tim

Hope you have a great time there! I'm not sure what your plans are as far as exploring Mexico or how long you are staying, but if you need some tips fossilkid had a really interesting and informative thread in the Travel section. It's titled "Mexico City...", but if I remember correctly he ends up going all over the country.

Hey bro! Thank you sooo much for the information. I will deffinetly check it!
Hope you are well. All the best <3

Quee passso amigos.

Writting this weeks blog on beautiful island Muheres.

Office for today πŸ˜ƒ

First week in Mexico is behind me. What a blast I had.

We mostly traveled around and played tourists. We spend 2 nights in Cancun hotel area to just chill and rest a bit and then moved to Cancun city to explore a bit rougher streets of Mexico.

We ate alot, drink some cervezasss and just spend time exploring.

We visited the city of Valladolid and so far this was my favourite part of the trip. The city is just pure Mexico vibe, so lovely, so many little shops, caffetarias, taco places etc, and in general
just so colourfull and full of live. We both loved it muucho muchooo.

After that we went to see Mayan pyramids and citx of Chichen Itza. This place is so sick and "powerfull", we also got Shamanized on the way there πŸ˜ƒ Loved the experience and was so nice to have a guide and he explained me everything about it since I'm very uneducated about history and now I actually know smth about it and it felt awesome.

After that we went back to city of Cancun since I needed apartment with good internet because I wanted to play on saturday and sunday.
So this two days we both woke up early, went for coffee and breakfast and then I started playing and played basicly entire day.

I've setup a nice spot for playing and I also somehow connected Anjas Imac to my laptop for second screen and I was able to play 9 tables haha. A bit tiny tables and everything a bit messy,
but I had lots of fun and played some decent pokerinho and aaabsoletuly enjoyed it.

Now we are on Island Muheres, 20 mins with boat from cancun, and here we just chill and will spend christmas time here. After that we will still play tourist a bit till end of the year, go visit some other cities around here and then on 3rd January we both start working hard.

I'm really really enjoying my time off and to spend time away from screens, so Im very grateful for that. At the same time I'm already sososoooo excited to start playing again and to hit the series in early January. Pokerstars, wmax both have some series going on so Im really excited for that.

I'll post now here some results from this year, but since I only have laptop with me I cand share PT4 hud stats with you guys because I have it backhome on my PC.

Overall this year was my best year so far results wise, 2nd year of full time poker career and I ABSOLUUUTELY ****IN LOVE IT!

I developed a lot as a player and as a human being. I started the year playing 17€ avg ish and now I'm at 25€ ish. Most of that credit goes to the best coaches and mentors and coostudents in the world, BitB team, I'm IN LOVE WITH THIS FAMILY trully. Thanks for everyhting guys.

Second best credit goes to Anja my gf, you are the best, you rock and you are an ABSOLUTAMENTE LEHENDAA!

Third big credit goes to my therapist Gordana. You helped me achieve and unlock sooo much of my potential that Its hard to describe in words and part of my success is for sure in your hands.
Thank you for that, I'm so GRATEFUL to have you <3

Now enough tears and sweet words, here are some numbers from this year.

Since I cant put GG results in sharkscope anymore here are numbers I calculated:

Tournaments played: 5950 (plus 20 live mtt's ish)
Profit: 45551€

I for sure improved a lot as a player, im much more confident, much better stats in comparison with other months and years before and I absolutely see and feel the difference from now and before I joined Bitb, its insane, and its getting better and better, I love it every day more!

Plans for next year are obv big, but I'll just put some most important here:

Poker goals:

- Play 30€ avg buyins tottaly on my own bankroll
- Continue improving stats and getting better in general
- Start playing 10 tables comfortably (12 tables peak session, 9 tables most of the session)
- Attack all series as hardcore as possible
- Go to Vegas WSOP for first time (if possible, don't force it)
- Go to 1 EPT series in EUROPE

Other then that, basicly approach same as this year. Spend entire year for playing and studying poker as in 2024, but just go further and harder!
Only goals is that at the end of the year I can say " I GAVE IT MY ABSOLUTE BEST"

Other goals:

- Continue practising tennis
- Play amateur summer/winter league of tennis in Slovenia
- Start working out a bit more (that my rest days become semi rest days, from no exercise on free day to light exercise on rest day)
becoming a bit more "tough" in general
- Go on 1 longer (10 days ish) vacation with Eva ( the rest vacations or days off I mostly wont plan, but will take time when/if needed)
- Continue with eating food as I'm doing now. Prioritize lots of protein and try to eat as much home made good quality foods as possible
- Start saving account
- Get better with life bankroll managment and start learning about investments etc..

This year will be very very similar for me as 2024, but just with next steps and taking it to the next level.
My life was pretty rough till few years ago and now I've build it to the degree that I can work and develop in safe and peacefull enviroment

Now its time for next chapter, which is building my life further and taking it to next level. Building total financial freedom and building my life for the future.
Step by step of course, working hard and giving it my best every day, but not rushing anything since its a MARATHON and not a SPRINT!

For 2024 I can say that I DEFFINITELY GAVE IT MY BEST and I'm very happy and proud of what I've achieved in 2024. My best year so far, IM HAPPY AND GRATEFUL for myself.

Lets do even better in 2025 and with only goal to be able to say same words and the end of 2025.

I wish you guys amazing end of the year and THANK YOU ALL soooo much to reading my blog and being so nice to me anywhere we met, both live and online.

I wish you happy holidays and a happy new year <3

I'll writte here next time in the starting days of January 2025.

Till then, here are some pictures from this week and talk to you soon <3

Beautiful city of Valladolid:

Some amazing and cheap (22$ tips included) breakfast and coffee in valladolid:

Got blessed by a Mayan shaman (imagine the Mexico IP rungood that I'll have now, ayayayyyy papiiii)

Amazing Chichen Itza

Dreamy Carribiean seaside in Cancun ( I dreamt of this beaches when I was young, I always thought that only in the movies this is possible)

And my "office" in Cancun πŸ˜ƒ ( my posture here is v v v bad, will work on this in the future for sure πŸ˜ƒ )

Enjoy guys, love yalll <3

Tim

Maybe a suggestion.

Just put some cardboard boxes or books under your laptop so it comes at eye level/height. Much better for your back but especially neck.
Also put your screen further away so it sits close(r) to the wall, your body closer to the table so that your mouse arm can rest comfertable/more on the table better to prevent against shoulder tension.

Also best of luck in Mexico. You seem like a chill guy seizing the opportunities he gets at this young age and your girlfriend seems amazing with the level of support she provides to you.
Best of luck in 2025. Go get them!

Hollaa amigoos.

I hope you all had amazing holidays and new years eve. Me and Anja sure did our best to enjoy this years holidays as much as possible.

I have no words for the great time I have here in Mexico. Its just so amazing being in summer time and escaping winter in Slovenia. I'm so happy that I came here and
I really enjoyed traveling Yucatan so far. Seen many nice places, ate many nice foods, drank quite few coronas and spend a lot of time outside exploring!

One of many taqueria places we went. Cheap and v v goood.

Attending live coachings anywhere anytime πŸ˜ƒ This time on bus station waiting for a bus to Tulum New Years partyy time.

When you have all your life in 2 bags πŸ˜ƒ

I'm now already for 5 days in our apartment where we are staying till March. Played few sessions already and I feel great. The apartment is nice and spaceous, we have everything that we need.
internet works MUYBUEEENO so far, so nothing to complain. The neighbors are a bit loud, but also that is managable.
We also have a gym in our building so that is so ****inn nice because I dont need to spend extra time walking somewhere to the gym.

My routine atm is waking up at 8.30 am ish, going for a swim in the pool on the top of the building, then staying 20 minutes on sunlight and meditating, straight after that gym and then I eat and
prepare for the session.

Usually I will start my session at around 10.00 - 11.00 am. Then play most of the day and then just relax and wind down before sleep.

I really enjoy my routine and will keep it going that way. Its so good this timezone, so I'm really enjoying every second of the day.

This week I dont really have many pictures for you guys, since I only stayed at computer and played poker haha. But here is few pictures of our new place and my (and Anjas) working space.

Small gymskii:

Office:

Cozy and everything we need plus more, so I am really really grateful. Next week I'll show you the apartment as well and a picture of me while playing with better posture and seating position πŸ˜ƒ

In the mean time I also wrote down my S.M.A.R.T. Goals for poker for year 2025, here they are:

Poker playing/studying

- Play 6500 MTT's minimum
- Play 8-10 tables comfortably (12 peak)
- play avg 35€ on your own bankroll
- attack all series with aiming to play everyday plus 2 months in Vegas in summer. Other months/weeks, work normaly (at least 6/7 days)
- Continue working with BitB
- Continue improving your stats and maintaining them
- Work 6/7 days on avg (series more) (Playing online/live or studying all day counts as work)

And here are also other goals:

Health and fitness:

- Exercise at least 5 days per week (minimum exercise is 30mins running + stretching + warmup/ walking 1,5 hours)
all other exercises like tennis or full gym session work as exercise
- Learn serving in tennis (that you can put every time over the net in the field, even if its not a strong serve)
- 95% or better sleep performance in WHOOP avg for 2025

Vacation:

- 1 longer vacation with Eva (10 days ish)
- 1 longer vacation with Anja (7 days ish)
- Other trips orient around live series alone or with BitB guys or with Luka, Miha, Reddy, BlaΕΎ, etc...
- 1 trip with the boys (5 days max) With Gal/Gapi.

Wellbeing and daily routines:

- Morning and sleeping routine every day (6 min diary + other parts of the routine) (necessary on all working and normal days, errors available only on
vacations days if not possible) (330 days at least)
- Not a single cigarette (around 60 of them in 2024, in 2025 none!)

With that being said, I'm more then ready to start 2025.

As said in previous blog already, 2024 I kinda brought everything together and start it going really, and now in 2025 I'm ready to push things to higher levels and GIVE IT MY ABSOLUTE BEST!!

I will also post my weekly pokertracker stats here, just for fun.

I'll also try to post them every 3 months and kinda do quick summary of what I coould do better etc (bc of bigger sample).

Here is my weekly PT graph:

And here are my results from this week:

I'll post next time next monday.

Till then I wish you all the best and to have a great and awesome weekend!

Love <3

Hi guys.

The winter series are over. Soon some other will start probbly haha, but lets do a quick review of last week and overall review of series.

In January I played almost every day, except for 1 day off and 1 day forcefuly off since I got food poisoning here in Mexico (finally haha).

Was so funny as well cuz we traveled around first 2 weeks and ate outside all the time also in all the sketchy places and nothing happened, but then
we cooked at home for 5 days and both got sick haha. I guess its just some bacteria that you get sooner or later that your body is not used too and then you
are fine.

Was legit torture for 24 hours, I was in bed all day, Anja needed to help me go to toilet cuz I couldnt stand by myself, was crazy.
The next morning I woke up totally fresh like nothing happened. So when the devil left my body I was again ready to work.

Its crazy how we quickyl forget the basic, to eb GRATEFUL WHEN WE ARE HEALTHY haha. So I think its nice and important here and there to have this kinda setbacks, that just makes you realize
once again, that you really need to be bleesed and grateful for when things are going great.

Other than that most of the days are very very enjoyable, I still have same routine, morning sunlight and swim and then coffee and then start firing tournaments slowly.

Overall I was down around 2.5k this series, which is obv not great, but not terrible as well. I think I performed great and I had a great approach.

I learned a lot again and most important stuff I learned is that I found my sweet spot table count for my A game and best performance possible.
I'll just tick to 6-8 tournaments for now, even tho its hard not to open other tourneys and fomo is big specially on Sundays, its just nooot comparable
how much better I play with less tables, its insane plus I enjoy it much more.

Here actually 9 tables, was a bad boy πŸ˜ƒ

Im also currently studying alot and aplying new stuff, so i think 6-8 tables will be my max for some time.
So now that Im getting used to this less tables and not looking into lobbies at all, its just soo much better and more fun.
I enjoy more, i can think more, I find all the plays Im happy with and its just generaly much more pleasant experience.

Other than that I played quite well, improved with stats as well. I like my approach, to go chill and funny into the session, not taking things too seriously,
every time I had bad day performance vice, was always because I got into the session like too seriously or too hard on myself etc… So I'll just continue to practice
presence in session and work as much as possible on that.

Obv when not at the tables and when in study mode I go fuul analitical approach and go as much in deepth as possible, but when Playing I wanna be present and chill and just have fun.
When Im able to do that, I really in such a good mood and play rlly rlly good pokerinho.
Samuel ( €urop€an ) sums this things very very nicely in this podcast ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFBOx9kt... . I think thats why he is the GREATEST to ever do it,
such an inspiration and such an amazing human being.

This is a picture that I look at every time ebfore session, really helps me understand the difference and I think both approaches are very very important:

Other then playing I didnt do much more stuff. Watched some netflix after session, talked with Anja and had some tacos and went for some walks.

Oh and I had my first hour of Spanish πŸ˜ƒ

I went for ice bath on the beach on a sunday morning. That was such a nice experience and preparation for the grind. I loved it. Will do the same this sunday.

I also went for a lunch with my Mentor, his brother and their friend plus Anja joined also. Had some nice food and was v v lovely hanging out with them.

I love everything about my current routines, flow, life, training, and everything in general so I'll just continue in same manner.

My cooworker πŸ˜ƒ

Next few days I'll play a bit less poker and spend more time to study, to review some things I wanna review and to get even more sharper.

Here are daily profits/losses from last time I posted:

Here are my PokerTracker stats from start till end of series:

Next time I'll play on sunday (writting this on thursday) and after that play like 4-5 times per week and the rest just study and do other stuff for
well being.

I hope you guys are having a great start of the year and that you are healthy and happy as much as it is possible.

Will update next Monday.
