Yea sucks villain had KK in this spot. TT sucks blocker wise. I think AK and AQ are much better jams here blocking the nuts but still I don't blame you at all for finding the jam with TT. It's not a spot that's gonna come up often tbh so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I think it's very close and still don't know what i'd do in game. If it was a reg who I knew I would fold. If's it's a tight rec I would fold but if I thought there was any room for some splashy stuff I would happily jam. Thin

Maybe it's just small sample size but I feel like at the lower buy-ins several times I've seen weaker calls with lower pairs and AJo ATo hands. Also, I haven't done the math so maybe I'm way off here but with the two bounties on the line I must be closer to getting direct odds against an overpair (future game probably complicates this immensely as does it being multiway so probably not). In any case, a good brain teaser, thanks for humoring. I'm sure I'll see you on the felt at some point, GL.

Seeing you a lot more Monkiki. You are really tough and seem to be crushing it so far. GLGL at the tables. If you ever wanna discuss some hands/do some study/solver work hit me up.

Good start so far to the month. Up 2k in everything $55 and below. Can't win anything in the higher buyins. Basically been all the $99 eagle cup stuff on global. Defo plus ev in these games but just can't get a score. Looking forward to the day when I finally make some decent scores in the higher end of the buyin range. Just need one of those nice 5 figure scores to really get the ball moving. Have been deep in a lot of em just haven't won the flips in the late game so far. Recent one that comes to mind is losing a flip bvb to YipYip(a streamer) with 12 left in the $218 blitz on global for chiplead pot(sattied in). Was 7k up top in that one and certainly was one of the biggest equity flips I lost this year. Overall up $1,200 total on the month so can't complain. Going to play an evening session today and really try to grind the higher equity stuff and increase my buyins. Same for sunday ofc. Been looking at my numbers and my weekly buyin numbers are too small for the money i'm looking to be making. Gambuuuul

Thanks man, but you should see my ACR graph 😉

Would love to, tried to send you a pm on here but it's not letting me, looks like I haven't posted enough to be able to send pms or something. Do you have a discord handle I can hit up?

Hey Monkiki. I'd rather not give the discord out here man sorry. I'll try messaging you on here

Had a good sunday yesterday. Ran really hot in a $55 mystery 20k on chico and managed to do an icm deal 3 handed. We all had very similar stacks. Something like 14.5bb, 16bb and 17.5bb respectively. I was shortest of the 3 stacks. Managed to book a $2,582 score. The guy who won managed to also bink a mystery przie for over 2k so very nice for him almost netting 5k on the mtt.

2 Sundays in a row 😀

Played alow volume Sunday yesterday bc I had a really deep run in an untracked site... $55 buyin with almost 5k entries. I ended up in 30-40th position for $500. Really wanted to focus most of my energy on that so stopped regging for 2 hours after I got down to last 100 in that. Althought it sucked to not make a big ft run with 25k up top, my consolation prize was the $55 20k on chico for the second week running. This time I ended up in 2nd place. Was asking for a deal 3 handed again like last sunday as we all had same stacks. But ended up playing it out and lost the HU. Felt like I was getting run over a bit but I think a lot had to do with card distribution....Anyways another good Sunday to keep the challenge rolling.

Current challenge profit: $35,447/$100,000

Hey there. Ah i'm not the best cook at all man 😀 I just scramble up some eggs.Add some pepper. Oatmeal separate bowl with a spoon of peanut butter mixed in and then some blueberries on top. Cup of coffee. Good start to the day. Here in the US it's so easy to just walk out the door and there's 100's of places to get a bunch of fried crap that's not gonna be good for you.

Awesome, thanks for the inspiration! I have started to enjoy the morning grind but my body hasn't adapted yet so I play the first hours of the day without food. Feeling great with this approach until I am getting too hungry. So Oatmeal + Eggs sounds perfect while having the last deep runs of the day. Then Gym and clear mind to prepare for the next day.

How do I sub for this blog?

How do I sub for this blog?

Never mind I figured it out.

BTW how is the MTT offer on Chico. Never played in there.

Hey man, love the blog, love your approach as well, I started MTT's with playing mornig schedule in CET time as well, kinda similar approach. Love every second of it. How so you quit poker before in first place ? and what was your job now for 11 years before coming back.

I subbed for the blogs, Im looking forward to see your posts. GL and HF <3

What are your opinions on late regging vs registering on time?

Hi. I'm not 100% on this but I don't think there's much of a first deposit bonus like on some other sites. The games are still pretty good though. GL

What are your opinions on late regging vs registering on time?

Hello. I have been over and back with my thoughts on this topic. Strictly talking non bounty mtt's, I really like max late regging tournaments when I have a higher table count(for me). If I have a deep run going at the upper end of my buyin range, I will not reg an mtt from the start so that I can focus on the deep run. I'll max late reg it instead or even skip it altogether. Like if the mtt in question is worth $10 in ev but I have an ft in play with 3k up top, then I really don't see the point in playing the other mtt. One small mistake will cost me so much more than $10. Having that extra brain space for the ft is worth a lot imo. I like to really focus in on game flow when playing only a few tables and think my results are way way better than when i'm multitabling.

On global i'll pre register most of the stuff as it only has 1-2 hours of late reg. But for sites like ACR, there's now way i'm pre regging a 5hr late reg mtt... I'm not well studied in 200bb poker and I have no intention of doing so unless I start playing cash. Most of the money in mtt's is gonna be 40bb and less and icm adjust play. That's where all the money is.

Saying that, if you do a lot of max late regging, you will have a whole lot more variance as you don't have a big edge playing so short.

Just back from a trip to Korea to see my wife's family. Also spent a few nights in Tokyo. Was my first time in Japan and it was a great experience. So haven't played at all in December yet. Really want to get in a session today but i'm really badly jetlagged. This has never happened to me before usually i'm good right away...But last 2 nights since I'm home I keep waking up at 1-3am and falling asleep at like 5-8pm...Hopefully that'll sort itself out soon.

I really enjoyed the food and drink in Asia. Loving the beer and soju combo called somaek. K BBQ is delicious. The izakaya spots in Tokyo were awesome. Both countries were very affordable also in comparison to the US. Especially so in comparison to NYC. Some places in Tokyo you could get a draft beer for 2 bucks. No tip and or tax on top... Compare that to a draft beer in most Manhattan spots will be $10 by the time you include tax and tip.

Loved the screen golf in both countries. The tech in Korea was a bit better if I had to choose. They really love their golf there. Also tried out the batting cages in Shinjuku in Tokyo.

Went to both a cat cafe and a parrot cafe 😀 Was a pretty funny experience. Also enjoyed some of the VR arcades.

While I was in Seoul, the Korean president tried enforcing martial law but he has since been impeached and won't be in office for much longer. Was getting a little worried for a day or two to be honest...What a nutjob. I ended up going to one of the protests with my wife and sister in law in the days that followed his crazy decision. Their people rise up pretty quickly and don't take sh it from their government.

Overall it was a holiday I will never forget. If I can make poker a full time thing, I wouldn't hesitate to move to Seoul for a year to try out life over there. It's a fantastic city

Some pics from Seoul and Tokyo:

November Results:

Solid first year in the books. Really was only 8 months playing time as I started March 1st and had 2 other months with pretty much no volume. Was nice to prove to myself that I can make a living from this game. It was by no means perfect but am very happy with the overall results. Looking forward to 2025, I have some clear areas to focus my attention on:

1. Study study and more study. Getting better at strategy will forever and always be high on the priority list. If you aren't improving you are falling behind the guys putting in the work.

2. Increased volume while still maintaining a high level of gameplay. My volume this year has been quite low. In order to increase my bottom line, I need to play more games. Playing well at a higher table count has always been tough for me but i'm slowly getting there. This year has seen a marked improvement in my multitabling skills and I aim to progress even more this coming year.

3. Maybe one of the most important things for me for 2025 will be Mindset. I have been digesting a ton of content regarding poker mental game lately and now realize I have a massive leak in this department. Self sabotage is something that effects a bunch of poker players and i'm definitely one of them. I'm trying out a few different strategies to improve my mindset right now and even looking into hiring a hypnotherapist to help work through some of the issues I have while playing. I hate to admit it but I often go off in chat berating other players and really don't understand why I do so. I'm willing to invest a lot of money to fix this issue. I have already reached out to Eliot Roe's business to see if I can work with him or one of his coaches. Things like feeling anxiety during gameplay should not be an issue for players but it is for a lot of people. It's only a game but when somebody 3 bets you 2 hands in a row, emotions start to come up for a lot of people and they may respond by acting irrationally and making sub optimal decisions. Maybe it goes back to some form of bullying from my past and that's why I feel personally attacked when things are going against me or facing aggressive actions. Anyways I think the important thing is that I am now very much aware of it and am willing to put in the work to make things better.

4. Meditation + Breathing Exercises. This has been my best year yet in these areas and I aim to continue these practices for the coming year.

5. Fitness + Diet + Quality Sleep. These are so important for a pro poker player. They all tie in together in the sense that, without any one of these, you're energy levels will be off while playing culminating in sup optimal results and poor decision making. Not being physically fit will mean being fatigued at the latter end of your session. Eating the wrong foods during a session will make you tired/sluggish. Not getting enough sleep/quality sleep is a huge deal. There is no way to play at your best after a bad nights sleep. So i'm actively working on all these to ensure I can bring my A game to the table as often as possible.

Bucket List Items/ Goals for 2025:

1. 6,000 mtt entries
2. 50 sessions of one on one or group coaching
3. Go to the WSOP for the first time
4. $80,000+ Profit
5. Post a 5 figure score
6. Try to enjoy the process as much as I can and not be hard on myself or others around me. Life is meant to be enjoyed.
