100k hands at Micros

100k hands at Micros

I have given myself a challenge of playing 100k hands at micro-stakes over the next month. This challenge will be conducted as either 50k at 5NL and 50k at 10NL or 25k 5NL, 50k 10NL, 25k 25NL. The challenge is for me to accept accountability for my results. Playing a set no. of hands will hopefully allow me to avoid tilt and accept that variance will even itself out over a large number of hands. Results from first 1000 hands are below.

Good session. Avoided any major coolers and definitely enjoyed some welcome beats towards the end of the session. Stayed disciplined throughout taking regular breaks to get air and clear my head when I found myself making illogical decisions. There were a number of spots I considered to be +EV however I decided not to take because it would require I deviate quite far from theory without any firmly established reads.

The last 1000 hands were kind of incredible. Ran AK into AA all-in pre twice, QQ into KK twice, JJ into QQ, and the one time I get it in good with AA my opponent flopped a set. Doubt there was anything I could have done given my data on pool. Just felt like cooler after cooler. Hopefully fate will return the favour at some stage
