Lets do it right this time - my rebirth story
Hello Everyone,
I played mid to high stakes mtt and cash games, made some results in live poker but somehow you are in my new rebirth poker blog.
How is it possible?
Actually it is pretty easy - bad mindset and aggresive BRM.
Dont want to tell the full story of mine yet but maybe I will in some future. But the main point is that - im having a full time job and im trying to get back to poker after many years of "goofing around" and start to treat this game seriously again as I did many years ago. Having a poker diary was something I did that time so maybe it will help me again. Also i want to try to show everyone that still in 2024 you can start from very low stakes and grind your way to make solid salary playing for a living.
Bankroll management and games I will be playing:
At the begging I need to admit that my BRM may look very conservative but I think this is what i need now. Be conservative and focus on a goal.
I will be playing cash games on GGpoker - rush and cash and im starting on nl10. Started with 1k$ and my BRM is to have a minimum of 100BI for the level but i need to play minimum 100k hands on particular stakes before moving up. I will rarely play micro mtts and Spin&Go with maxBI around 25% of my actual cash game stakes but the results wont be included into this "challenge".
Below is what i have already played until todays date. It is 16k hands with 20bb/100 but today was the first time during this 16k hands that i felt kinda bored and wanted to go on higher stakes. Thats why I created this topic - to make me feel obligated to report my progress in front of a bigger community.
I think it would be all for the first post - i will post updates after every 5k of hands.
Hope there will be some people interested in my new rebirth story.
GL everyone

No answers wont stop me from posting 😉
So I have finished with another 5k hands and I have crossed 20k hands mark. I can say that im happy with the results, im not happy with my volume tho. When i set this plan up i thought that in this point of time I will be around 35k hands in. Unfortunately daily job and just life wont let me play more.
Below you can see the graph:
And my stats - I would appreciate any advices what to improve in my stats. What is coming to my mind is that i need to lower the gap between VPIP and PFR. Most of my flats coming from BB and BU (sometimes some low/mid pp and some traps from other positions) but i think i should put more 3b instead of flats.

Nothing to say there - the hand played itself but it is always nice to flop the quads and got the max value

This hand also played itself but this time i was on the other side of the spectrum 😀
As i said in the first post Im also playing some spins to get a little break from the cash games and as you can see below - roi and cev are looking good but 64 spins is like having no sample size
Played also a handfull of mtts, made 2 deepruns but it was micro mtts so results moneywise are not worth to mention
Outside of poker - im trying to put more sports in my life. I have used to do many sports practically every day of the week but got injured, and after that i have only went to the gym around twice a week for past 2 years. Now im trying to get back to squash and for the first time in my life i have started to do jogging. Obviously i had to set a goal for myself and i would want to start in a 10km race in October.
Wish me to run good both in poker and in...running 😀
And i wish you all the same. See you in next 5k hands
I think ur stats are fine cuz these low Stakes games People play too nitty and not 3-bet so much, and thats why you can flat or 3-bet more. My stats are something like 44 34 20 and in theory it looks fishy but i manage to crush lower stakes
