Starting Again From Scratch (80€ BANKROLL=

About Me:

I’m 38 years old, self-employed, and I’ve been playing poker as an amateur for over 4 years now. Poker started as a hobby for me, a way to unwind, but over time, I’ve developed a strong interest and a desire to take my game to the next level.

Balancing my work and passion for poker can be challenging, but I’m committed to improving. My current schedule allows me to dedicate a solid amount of time to both grinding and studying, which I’m hoping will help me grow as a player.

The Challenge:

I’ve decided to take my poker journey more seriously and set some clear goals for myself. I’m starting with a bankroll of €80, and I’ll be focusing on cash games, specifically at the micro stakes level. Since I’m playing in Spain, I’m primarily up against French and Portuguese players, which adds an interesting dynamic to the games.

Here’s the plan:

I’ll be grinding for 2 hours a day and dedicating 1 hour to study, five days a week. My goal is to track my progress by posting updates weekly, keeping myself accountable and motivated.

The bankroll management I am going to follow is 40 buy-ins until I reach NL10 and then I will be increasing it by 10 buy-ins so 50 per level from 25 onwards until NL100.

My Goals:

Short Term:

Consistently grind and study according to my schedule.
Improve my skills and understanding of the game.
Post regular weekly updates on my progress.

Long term

Build my bankroll steadily and reach higher stakes.
Enhance my game to the point where I can consistently beat tougher opponents.
Eventually, make poker a significant part of my life, possibly transitioning into playing full-time.

Current Bankroll: €80

I’m eager to see where this journey takes me, and I’m always open to advice and feedback. If anyone has insights on playing within the Spanish-French-Portuguese player pool or any recommended study resources, I’d greatly appreciate it. Let’s see how far I can go!
