I have never saw so much tanking to make a decision in any platform in my life. This is since the beginning of the series in wpn less than 60bb. I have never experienced such a slow game play in my life. One round takes like 12 minutes even with late registration having 1.5hrs to close. I think the downswing is quite normal and i wouldnt be worried because sample is super small, but the timings are very off and certainly not normal. Time to enjoy the 4k bonus and withdraw the rest of the money before it gets too ugly

I am struggling a lot mentally not due to variance but due to laziness. It is the first time in my life I experience something like this, I find lower buy ins completely uncompetitive and the main struggle is to not do bullshit things or try new things that don’t make much sense (see 96o above). I find the skill gap between 55$- regs and those who are playing only 100$+ to be huge. I do many things which is more to try out how people respond since I know I can sacrifice and lot real ev and still be quite profitable

To clarify, I don’t do this because I underestimate the field. From my point of view, poker is a great game, you can play different styles, try different things and still be profitable. It is more like a puzzle where every time you get to the river you have have a different answer depending in many variables. I strongly believe there is no one right way to play poker and even in this gto era we can see many different styles being profitable, from mtts(Lena to Mikita to Ponakovs to Eibinger) to nl cash (Sea Lama to Linus to Vasilev) to plo cash, shootout to the true goat of poker Berri Sweet

I have to more struggles that I try to keep up / change. I find incredibly difficult two things

1) Play more than 7 tables. I can literally feel the struggle in my brain to think when I have more than 6. At 7-8 after a few hours of grinding, I can feel annoyed, frustrated and sometimes irrational. I don’t know how to fix this but I need to have 10-12 tables if I want to make a living in Thai day time and not going back to grinding night time. The positive will be the money since the income is completely different playing 300$+ abi than barely 30$
2) I find distacting playing in many different platforms with many different backgrounds and keep up different player pools. I don’t think this will ever change and I need to suck it up if I am going to prioritize my health. If I am grinding at night I can have only ggpoker and I will be happy with the volume but now I am struggling even with 3 different software. I need to add 2 more rooms and it will be quite a mess

Since I stopped playing peak hours I feel more and more grateful with the life was given to me (or I created for me) I live in a place where I have a mountain on one side, the sea on the other, easy access to food any time, easy access to women, 50+ different restaurants, mall, cinema, muay thai schools, football pitch and everything in a walking distance of 20 minutes. Even if I don’t drive a bike, I can just walk. There isn’t something missing except a different timezone
Another positive aspect is I challenged myself to start running 10km every day. I want to play football again and train muay thai. The main point of grinding early in the morning is having time to do things I love. I haven’t done cardio for very long time and I just started doing 10km / day. First day, completely dead. Second day, I broke down in two parts, early morning run of 4kms and evening run of 6kms. I got runner’s high the second day which was amazing

Back to poker, I feel doing many obvious mistakes but this is more of the I don’t care-I will have decent winrate no matter what mentality which I frown upon. This shows up in my study routine which is non existant. I barely did 3 hours this month. I want to simplify certain parts of the game in order to play more tables, I just cant find the motivation to do it and I was always pro study. There wasn’t a month that I had less than 100-150 hours of studying even during series for the past 10 years. Poker is such a chaotic game, hu gto cev, mw gto cev, then icm, then bounties, the study each opponent separately, no data no problem go over his showdowns. Poker is such a fascinating game but of course there are people who know it all lmao

I am trying to find way to motivate myself in order to study more, I made the decision to force myself studying 30 mins every day. Another way to stay motivated, I decided to post at least one hand after session in this thread. This hand might be a strategy hand, breaking down how I am thinking or the solver outputs and different adjustments, or it might be a funny/weird hand without explanation. Just something to keep my brain active after the grind. My plan is to take the days off until Sunday and focus on running and weightlifting. Sunday will propably be my next grind

4) This is quite interesting. At that moment I had 3 brazilians on my table. I don’t believe ever a reg is shoving this hand unless he knows that a queen is folded. I play poker for 10 years. I have never saw anyone anytime in my life check shoving second pair on 2BW-brick turn. I am 100% sure something fishy was going on. I have also saw some -lets say- light river calls with hands that make no sense from low volume (new)accounts which I imagine they should know folded cards. I don’t worry too much since my mentality is this now – There are bots, there are rtas, there are colluders, just enjoy the grind with whatever winrate you can achieve and don’t talk about these things too much. My mentality changed after I burnt bridges with some people since I became a huge whiny bitch. If I come across with people talking about these things then I withdraw myself from the conversation. The more you talk about it, the more the mind will focus on these things. It’s a fact that we are getting cheated but….

Also i need to make 6-10k / month while maintaining a fulfilled life in order for day time grind to worth. Doesnt make sense to sacrifice so much $ ev if i am a miserable **** (thankfully i am not) or been a lazy bum
