LetΒ΄s take this seriously for once!
Hello everyone. After struggling this last year with my mental game (I finally realized studying strategy is just not enough in the long term this days), I am starting to understand how brutal is poker and how hard is the journey from low to middle stakes.
I always wondered how people were able to go up in levels so fast. I considered myself as a person who is smart enough to defeat any challenge, but poker has been so hard, even when my stats looks kind of balanced (with adjustments for micros) I was always ending breakeven, sometimes losing (rakeback used to save me, but from January this year, it was removed totally in Germany) and that made me crazy. I had periods of time where I noted my mental game was broken and started playing soooo poorly. This has been a cycle with two/three months playing well with relatively good results followed by a disaster month trying to go faster or thinking every day that poker was so unfair and trying to get my money back as soon as possible. Of course things does not work this way and it became obvious to me I needed to study more and adjust my game to get max value against the field, which normally has a lot of leaks in NL25 (the level I play now).
Anyway, I think is time for me to take more responsibility and not only blame variance and bad runs. Thats why I wanted to start this thread to share my progress and get feedback from this awesome community.
The goal will be to improve my mental (already working on that) and also getting a good winrate. The hard part is that the rake is extremely high in Germany, but I still think poker in low/mids is beatable with a very decent WR.
I took some days off and started a new DB in poker tracker to start fresh. I will update graphs from time to time, and stats every two months to see the progress fixing leaks.
I do hava a 8 hours work, so the time I have to play poker is limited, still I always manage to play 2/3 hours per day, which is sometimes insane having two kids... But I love poker, and after investing so many hours in this beautiful game, I need to get something back, not necessarily money, but at least the feeling I can beat the games.
I hope you will enjoy reading this and if you feel in some ways like me, lets try to find the way out together, and if you already found the way out, help us!!

I am very curios how is the rake in other countries in terms of BB/100. Using the formula to calculate the average rake in the country where I live:
NL25 - 80,010 Hands played, My C Rake Attrib - 1760.65 dollars. Using "Rake in bb/100 = Total rake / number of hands * 100 / size of bb." gives an incredible 8,8BB/100 of rake. I know in Germany they charge an extra 25%, which make poker really hard to beat. How is this number for you guys?
If you also take in count that there is absolutely no rake back deals (or promotions or whatsoever), it feels like you really have to be in top of the top to have an okayish winrate.
The good run continues!! I will update graphic every week, but will try to post hands every two or three days. Yesterday was full of recreationals and got very lucky in some spots.
How to deal with that guy always 3betting your OR! 3B 17, only small sample tho, very aggro post

graphic update! running good over EV, still small sample but feeling well, no tilt episodes even when I have been losing some coolers at the beginning of each session. Feeling confident about my game.
Tomorrow will try to post some tricky hands.
Gl in the tables!!
Subbed go man , sample is small but so far so good!
Sunday update:
]
Definitely running very well. I stopped trying to fight back with regs hard. Off course I defend my range the best I can but try to avoid spots OOP. Focusing also way more in table selection and taking more notes. Like elmagico says, so far so good.
One very positive thing is that I did not have any "tilt session" since I started playing with the new DB (around 12 days ago).
Goals for this week:
1.- Try to play smaller sessions with 10-15 minutes pause in between (I noted yesterday, the last hour I was taking poor decisions/calling too much, so i will try to play max 1.5 hours and situt for the minutes)
2.- Keep focused on NL25, no nl50 shots at least for now.
3.- Post 2-3 Hands every two days here.
4.- Do not see my graphic until next sunday to keep focus in the way I play and not the result.
5.- Investigate which school will suit me better.
This together with all the things I am already doing (studying, compare my decision way with content from coaches in YT, analysing hands one day after, etc) should improve my game.
Vamos!!! Lets ***** go!!

I did not like the way I play this one. I am forcing myself to increase my XR, so I thought CO could have a lot of projects if he calls. He called indeed and for some reason I do not know why I didnt bet that turn (maybe trying to play trappy). I am pretty sure this hand needs protection and I do not want to give one more card free for villain to improve his draws. River was not good and after his bet I knew I was behind.

Villain seemed to be a recreational, but only 100 hands in my hud with 37/32 and 20 3bet, so in general I was expecting some broadways, some pairs lower that mine and of course better overpairs. He showed QJs.

In general I am still running quite good and I am happy with my game. There are some days I play tired and not as focused as I would like, but for now is fine. No tilt episodes or frustrations after losing allins.
Sunday will be graphic update!
Graphic so far:
I had a couple of rough days, too much coolers and crazy runouts in river, but it is the way it is, no complains π Still over EV. I am very proud of my mental stability this days, only focusing in take the best decision (following my way of think, of course) in every situation. Of course some days I am far from my A game, but fighting to in the zone as often as possible.
I hope your week gets off to good start! Good luck in the tables
Green line going up in always a nice sign.
Focus on getting that WWSF up. I find that's generally the best indicator of when a player is really switched-on, fighting for every pot (even the small ones). When you see a 51-52, you're probably around the good spot. Will also be incredible for redline.
Look for X/Rs in 3BPs, that's always a great place to start.

Thanks for the advice. A few months ago I started increasing my XR (in flop in non 3bet pots), but still working on that. XR in 3bets -> interesting, I always take the lead when I was the aggressor even OOP, I will take a look on this. When I reach 30K I will post my stats, maybe you have other suggestion to increase my WWSF. Cheers!!
Graph update:
This last days were crazy, roller coaster with bad beats and coolers for me or against me. Some Regs are getting very loose and aggro, and the recreationals maniacs have to win to time to time, so no complains π
I am still very proud of my mental game, even when losing hand after hand but keeping focus and playing the best way I know gives me a good feeling ("think in the long term dude, do not check how bad or good the result is so far").
Feeling good, I hope I can start playing NL50 in a regular base at the end of the year. I will post soon my stats to get some feedback.
Thanks for reading and GL guys!

Keep it up man. That's a great way to look at it. I'm constantly leaving the table to refresh my balance and check at how I'm doing. I need to stop doing that. Subbed.

I'm surprised you called this off with four to a straight out there. Did you have a read that he's just a maniac? Sometimes you have to fold them rockets man.
Edit: It was all-in on flop my bad... I thought you called river. Carry on, carry on.
So, last month ended with a crazy and ridiculous amount of coolers/bad beats. I had 3 or 4 days where I started to doubt about my game again, but fortunately I found my way back to reasoning and started/continued to play as solid as possible again, even when the mini downswing continued.
October started very well, tho. Graphic update:
I subscribed myself to a poker school, and start to studying spots more in detail. I am trying to change some strategies against recreationals to try to squiz as much value as possible. After that my focus will be to improve 3bet pots oop and ip.
So thats the plan so far. In a few week I will have 2 weeks vacations and my plan is to spend a lot of time studying out of the tables. I really want to jump to play NL50 soon.

This hand seems pretty spewy - large turn bet and overbet on the river should be really polarized, T high flush is only folding out his bluffs and getting called by better.
I would only get this out of line against known spewy recs.
