100 Tournament challenge - Learning Online poker

Hey everyone,

I've decided to challenge myself by diving into the world of online MTTs (Multi-Table Tournaments).

I've been playing poker since I was 15 (I'm 40 now), mostly live dealer's choice games but also live 8-10 tournaments. Poker's a true passion of mine, and I've been fortunate to have my dad as a mentor. He instilled in me the importance of keeping records, so I have a pretty extensive poker history to look back on.

Life took a bit of a turn when I got married at 28. My wife wasn't thrilled about my poker hobby, showing her my stats didn't help. To her, it was gambling, and the stakes I played made her understandably nervous. Combined with finishing my degree and starting my first "real" job, I took a break from poker. A long one - 10 years.

Fast forward to about two years ago, and I found myself separated and back at the poker tables.

Living in Israel, the poker scene is mostly underground, with high-rake games that are tough to beat at my current skill level. So, I've been playing a weekly $1-3 PL dealer's choice game with friends.

This past June, I enrolled in an online marketing course. To practice what we were learning, we had to choose a business to offer free services to. I decided to start my own side hustle – a print-on-demand store for poker-themed T-shirts. To boost the site's SEO, I also started a poker blog. It's been a great way to reflect on my own game and hopefully offer some value to newer players.

I want to be clear, I'm not a poker pro - just a guy who loves the game. That said, the need to create regular content has pushed me to take poker more seriously. So, I'm taking on the challenge of online MTTs. I'm starting at micro stakes, even though my bankroll could handle $40 games. I want to build a solid foundation before moving up.

To learn and create content efficiently (I have a full-time job and two kids), I record my online play and post it on my YouTube channel.

Then, with some help from ChatGPT, I analyze my game and share my findings on my poker blog.

I'd love for you all to follow along on my journey. Any advice or resources to help me improve would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Alon Marcus

Hey man,

first of all good luck on your journey. I hope you can find a way to make it work for you.

I am curious about the "with some help from ChatGPT, I analyze my game" part.
How does this work? Do you need the paid version of ChatGPT to do it or is the free version enough?
How are you planning to use it to improve your play?

Would be nice if you could explain/share your approach with chatGPT.

Thank you and good luck at the tables
