Poker bankroll

Thinking about building up my poker bankroll, and I’m looking for some inspiration from those who already have one! How much did you start with, and what stakes did you play at? I'll be focusing on MTTs.

Did you start at the lowest stakes and gradually move up? How long did it take you to reach your current level?

Right now, I play mostly on weekends with stakes around $5/$10, but I know that might require a bigger bankroll to sustain. Just have to convince my wife about that part! 😄

Since I can only play on weekends, I want the thrill of actually winning something significant. I tried micro stakes, but it felt a bit discouraging to put in hours, make it to the top 10, and only win $10.

I’m up at the moment, but I know it can go the other way just as quickly, so having a bankroll seems like a smart move.
