The $20 Bankroll Challenge – From the Poker Boom to a Boom or Bust!
Hey everyone!
I’m Giannis, 36, streaming in straight from Greece! I’m kicking off a $20 bankroll challenge starting this Friday, the 15th, aiming to turn it into a real poker bankroll. Let’s be honest—this blog is my accountability buddy because, left to my own devices, I’d probably bust this challenge in a week.
Backstory: I first dove into poker during the poker boom, grinding on PokerStars and Full Tilt with tournaments, cash games, and those fast-paced Zoom tables that I loved. My biggest Achilles' heel? Bankroll management! It’s the one thing I never had the patience for, and yep, that’s usually why my bankrolls ended up in flames. So here I am, determined to take it seriously this time (and hopefully not become a meme in the process).
Expect weekly updates on my wins, losses, graphs, and maybe a few poker-induced rants. Let’s see if I can finally beat my own impatience and make this work. Join me for what’s either going to be an epic Greek comeback or a tragic bust!

Hey Giannis, love the ambition! I’ve been in the same spot grinding poker with a small bankroll and trying to avoid the dreaded tilt. One thing that might help with bankroll management take advantage of the daily freerolls available on a ton of poker sites. They’re a great way to build up a bankroll without risking your own money.
Sites like GGPoker and CoinPoker have daily freerolls with some decent prize pools, and you can find the passwords easily. I find most of them here Freeroll schedule . If you can make that a part of your grind, you could really boost your bankroll without the pressure of deposits.
Keep at it, man! Looking forward to following your journey. Let’s get this $20 challenge rolling! Best of luck!
