Operation 2 Million
Currently a dealer in Texas. 38, no real commitments. Have played professionally before, was backed in the highest stakes online mtt's pre black friday. Won the sunday million, 200r, super tuesday, FTP 750k, etc... live my tourney results are solid but super small sample. Since black friday most of my focus financially has been on sales and sports betting.
I am a great dealer, and just absolutely love it. I feel retired, and would love to continue doing it forever. If I just cared about money i'd get back into sales. I dealt when I was in college at a local casino and took about 15 years off until recently. Picked it right back up.
Now that I am in TX and state of online poker is kinda whack for MTT's, I want to focus mostly on live cash.
I have a 15k liquid roll set aside, but kinda have some debt. Not real debt but some standard things I need to take care of eventually to get my life in order. Biggest one being a car. Between friends, uber/lyft, moped/scooter thing I own i'm fine at the moment. But I will not be financing a vehicle or anything so will be a chunk. I'd say I have to spend about 15-30k over the 1Q of 2025. Have a move coming up in April. Would like to have all my bills and shit prepaid for the year.
In the beginning i'd like to take at least half my profits over 15k and put towards life. Once i'm situated and caught up i'd like dealing to pay for life stuff and 100% of poker profits to go towards building the roll.
I did play the main event last year, was a big chunk of my bankroll but made day 3 and will probably find a way to play it this year as well. I love that structure to much to miss it.
I've been a liquid millionaire twice, once from sports/poker and the other time was mostly poker.
LONG TERM GOALS:
- 2 million liquid
- keep bodyfat under 10%
2025 goals:
- roll 150k+
- 2026 bill prepaid
- Be in better shape then I am now physically
If your asking how the hell am I going to get to 2 million only making 200k a year, it's because I eventually will get back into live MTT's most likely. Or we will shot take high stakes cash heavily once roll reaches a certain point.
No gambling besides poker unless I decide to get back into sports betting which would be next football season. I'll be sharing weekly financial updates, hands histories, life shit who knows what else...
Purpose of this thread really is to keep me in line and focused when things are going well. Anyone can focus when they are in a downswing but when your pumped up fat and happy it's tough not to lose your purpose and do dumb shit financially.
lets get it
