I'm Back...

It's been awhile ladies and gentlemen. It's time to continue sharing the journey! Man, since 2018, its been a wild, wild ride. I've gone all the way down and all the way back up in life. From dead broke and addicted to drugs to sober, married, and started a successful, profitable business.

I'm married (sep 9/22/23) to a new, amazing woman. I'm so happy, she's saved my life and given me the strength to crush this life. I've always had it in me to succeed, but I had so many personal demons I was battling (drugs, toxic relationships, no passion in my jobs outside of poker). I've finally tamed the inner demons. I have control again. IT'S A MIRACLE that I'm even alive.

I started a business, about three years ago. Exterior cleaning and paver sealing. First year we did $102K, second year $202K, and in 2024, we are on track for $300k. It's quite epic what I've built from absolutely nothing. Three years ago, I just got out of rehab, had zero money, no job... All I had was myself and my girlfriend (now wife), a roof and a truck. I somehow got approved for a $4,000 line of credit and went and bought a pressure washer and supplies. Now I have a fully blown business with an employee, its mind boggling that I've built this from scratch, but we crushing it. I'm scaling it, its fun, I love it, but damn is it a TON of work. Again... I love it.

Poker... I took a big break for about 3-4 years, but about two years ago I got the urge to get back into it. Check my hendon mob (Tyler Bentz)... I had a sick run in the 2023 April WPT stop at Hollywood Hardrock. I've gotten deep in many events and have ****ing ran like complete dog **** deep. Super unfortunate... But It's ok, it builds resilience. I've put myself into all tournaments (100% my money). Feels good. I made some DEEP runs in some big events. Gave me a lot of encouragement to keep grinding, my skills were still there, albeit a bit behind the population as I took a couple years off.

The past three months I've been splashing around in South Florida in some private cash games (10-10(25) is one game, and a 25-25(50) is the other, same game just different stakes), I'm backed for these games. It's been going decent, but running like complete dog **** in these private cash games lately.

I'm heading to Vegas July 5th to play the WSOP MAIN!!!! My first time ever going to the WSOP and obviously my first time playing a $10K. I'm so excited and have been training hard for it both physically and mentally and studying the game/theory. I'm selling about 10-15% of myself, just to give some friends and family a sweat.

I'm going to continue updating my journey here, the story isn't finished!!! I hope some of the old guys from this thread are still on 2+2. Please let me know you're still here.
