Transition from a Struggling Pro to A High Stakes Endboss

Hello all,

I'm a recently turned 24 year old professional poker player specializing in online cash. This will be my 2nd PG&C and you can find my first thread right here ----> http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/174/po...

ABOUT ME

I'm just your average 24 year old guy. I'm an avid sports fan (even though all my teams suck) who likes to have fun and grab a beer with friends any chance I get. I graduated in 2015 with a degree in Communications. I currently live in Hoboken, NJ and it's a ton of fun but also one of the more expensive places to live. I'm pretty big into fitness and I have a girlfriend who lives a town over. As you can see pretty generic life story, although my poker story is quite a bit different.

The Poker Story

I'm half Irish so I came from a huge gambling family. It was just part of what we do. I believe I was 5 when I started gambling playing Gin Rummy with my Aunts and Uncles. The thrill of gambling is something I definitely still get today and I still remember my pulse going through the roof winning my first Rummy game for $20

But, Poker was never part of it. In fact, I didn't play my first hand of poker until late 2014 as a 22 year old. Ironically, I only deposited on 888 after seeing an Ad and having just lost my winter job. As most do, I blew multiples $50 rolls and only made a little bit of beer money my last semester of college.

Fast Forward to real work and I hated it. DESPISED IT. I dreaded work everyday and it was at that point I decided I'd give Poker a full time shot. I grinded from 10NL to 50NL, when I decided to give it a shot playing 50 NL full time with a $9,000 roll. #FullDegenerecyFullTransparency

As one might guess tons of ups and downs, including multiple times the roll almost vanished...

However, a year later I made it without going busto. I didn't make much money, mostly what an entry level position would make coming out. But going full time was the best decision I ever made as I love what I do every day.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As of now, I'm playing 100-500NL with 200 NL my main game and I hope that this is the year I break through and start making some serious money. I am getting coached and I've already seen some big improvements this quickly which lead me to posting some pretty aggressive 2017 goals.

2017 Goals

1.) Play 750,000 hands of Online Poker

Can't make money if you don't play cards

2.) Play 500 Hours of Live Poker

I mean too profitable not too right? Most of these hours will be at WSOP this year

3.) Travel to 5 New States or 3 New States and go Abroad

Jersey can be kind of a ****hole sometimes

4.) Have 500NL and 1kNL my main game heading into 2017

5.) Reach 205LBS and 8% BF by end of year (Currently 192 and 9%)

Don't get complacent and fat or you're gf will leave you

6.) Earn 100k playing Poker

This is the one I really want

I'll do my best to update this thread once or a twice a week with some interesting hands as well as some trials and tribulations of the poker pro life.

Wish me Luck everybody!
