Shrug
Every session or two, I run into the guy telling everyone about his bad luck. In his mind, the plays he makes are solid, but heās catching bad flops and second best hands.
I donāt compare myself to others, but I do study their games. Itās kinda cringe to me when he comes back with another buy-in and says this is it - this is all Iām giving you. I know this one will go quicker than the others.
Never speak negatively ever period!
The game creates delusion with its nuance. He insists on pushing 99 against a nit with KK and omybadluck or he wonāt fold TPTK when itās obvious heās facing 2pair+ omybadluck or he opens in ep with 76s - flops top pair, shoves and is surprised when QQ calls & omybadluck
On and on it goes and Iām sure you know of examples too. Sometimes people have a misconception of who is exploiting who?
Never speak negatively, not even joking!
In a way I am empathetic to these people, some will never figure it out. If they donāt learn that āthe buck stops hereā and take responsibility, the ābeatings will continueā.
Donāt get me wrong, I sometimes see a very solid player that makes very few bad plays, but I canāt help him. However, leave negativity if thatās you and donāt ever think that you got it right without thoroughly examining your play
I would not write this if it was not a fairly common character. Most of you on this platform donāt fit that prototype, but variance is lying to you sometimes, if you think it couldnāt have been avoided.

Yeah good post.
Today I took a genuinely tough beat. I bought back in and shortly after I made a horrible call down with a weak A on an ace high board. In the moment I convinced myself that a timing tell made it much more likely he was bluffing.
I went over the hand in my head shortly after, and at least I had the self awareness to admit it was a punt. I decided I was tilted more than I realized and decided to call it a day to regroup.
That's the thing about this game. Generally no one is going to tell you when you're playing poorly. I could have easily found someone to commiserate and say, "Yeah you got unlucky, " while I punted off another three buyins.
