2018: 50K hole in January, 70k EV goal for December
Hi guys, wassup.
Short intro about myself: I have been playing poker since 2013 and after a period of losing I started to win and became a degen reg, running it up and losing it all multiple times. I've went broke about 5 times now with rolls 40K+. BR alltime high was in the vicinity of 90K. Currently I'm broke and backed again (no brokebackmountain). Me and my backer have had successful backings in the past, however this time the hole has gotten a bit deeper moneywise.
What you can expect from this thread:

So, yet again we're facing some good ol' adversity, residing in the suburbs of Bustoville and trying to move out somewhere this year. Small recap of what happened so far: Got stuck in a downward spiral in from December 2017 to January. I played very bad, ran very bad and made the wrong decisions in terms of game selection, BR management etc over and over. 50K down. Took a step back from the tables in February and focussed on improving my game and other aspects of life to create a solid foundation to build from.
Right now we finished off playing in March again, which felt like a sort of rebirth in terms of poker and more generally speaking. However, bad habits die hard and therefore there is still a long road ahead.

Oh and yea almost forgot to mention, Im doing a graduation internship right now for which I have a very important deadline in two weeks. If I mess up the deadline I would be pretty fooked. If I graduate this year, I plan on playing full time for one year in the most professional way possible, to prove myself and others I am actually capable of this ****.

Update after 5 years:
Revisiting this thread as Im currently ''stuck'' in a rut. It feels like Im trapped in break even territory for the past 14 months.
The main reasons for this are complacency, degeneracy, comfort and priorities in life being elsewhere.
Every level of life comes with its owns challenges and the moment you start slacking, you slip.
I slipped.
Next update in a few years.
