Midstakes diPLOmatic - double long time WR - plo400/600
Hi there
About me :
Im Tomas from Slovakia, so because of that - please forgive me my spelling errors, but I am not a native speaker. Im playing midstakes plo - 50bb - on apps.
I decided to open blog/ challange due to motivate myself to keep working on my game. Mentally i feel really well right now, but my results are far from expected. I am part of great staking company, which offers really good care, psychologists, coaching from better playes, solvers, etc. But sometimes i struggle to fully explore my resources, because it is better to watch hockey game ( Go leafs !) or chill out.
I will keep posting every Sunday with weekly results.
Game :
I've been playing for few years. Right now mostly plo400.
my resulsts from past 7 moths :
luckily staking co provide me RB with avg rate of 40% https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/image...
graph from plo 400 :
as u can see i experienced a small downswing out there. Probably my game was also not the best, but im here to change it !
-----------------------------
This month so fare :
Goal :
Double my long time winrate on plo400. Keep working with solver at least few hours a week!
Hand of the week :
https://imageupload.io/kXYZvM0LAV.i
hand against fish 65/35 with very tight 3b, so decided to raise the turn to protect my hand from cards completing any draw on river, but expected that hand in my opponents range. Would u play the same line?
Have a nice week guys! See you soon!

Hello and thank you for sharing your poker journey and plans for 2024!
It's evident that you've put significant thought and effort into your game, and your dedication to continuous improvement is commendable.
Working with a sports psychologist is a smart move, as mental resilience is crucial in the world of poker, especially in games with high variance like PLO.
Wishing you the best in achieving your goals for 2024 and beyond.
Happy New Year, and may the cards be in your favor!
Hey slyless,
many thanks! Best wishes for you as well!😀
New Year, new start. Bigger (1000bb+ pots) not for me yet :P

Kinda Brag. Let’s check how u should crush 6c Omaha. He is the co-owner and main head coach of my stable.

Hi buddies,
How's it going? For me, the year started relatively well. As you can see, Omaha 6-card is quite a ride. I even noted a 60BI downswing, but then recovered and then some. Running a bit over EV, which is quite pleasant, I won't deny. My goal for this year is to completely transition to six-card play. There are no solvers or any tools yet, so even regs are making cosmic mistakes.
As you can see in the attached screenshot, I'm playing very loose, which probably isn't entirely optimal. My goal for next month is to narrow down my game and try to make more notes on opponents, as well as reduce the number of tables. Currently, the stable is collaborating with a new trainer at the gym, and I see more results, and my body isn't as overloaded.
Are there any other 6-card players here? Where do you play and what are your feelings? In my opinion, it seems that most fishes are transitioning to this variant.
Good luck at the tables!
Why do you play so small if you have a backer and an established winrate at midstakes? If they won't let you play bigger, why have a backer?
Hello, I'm the CEO of Pokerninjas.
There is not that much value and traffic on higher stakes (PLO1k and above) regarding PLO6c. My top players were capable of beating PLO1k-2k with 8-15bb/100 EV adjusted winrate last year, but it was still not more than 1/3 of their total volume and the majority of those winnings came from PLO4c.
Tomas focuses on playing 6c right now and the biggest PokerBros Unions don't have much 6c going on above midstakes. We do have access to many other clubs and platforms as well, but we need to be almost 100% sure that the games are clean and beatable until we let someone test high stakes 6c there, this usually takes some time. And it's safer for everyone to test waters at midstakes first.
Having a backer like us lets a player not being scammed on Apps (which happens more than you think), have access to tested, safe games, free poker/mindset/fitness coaching, group coachings, friendly community, all the premium poker software, hand histories and so on. But the most important feature I believe is a sense of safety. We want our players to feel safe, not fear of being scammed, not paid by a backer or colluded at the tables. Having a backer like us lets you focus on poker entirely and fullfill your potential to the maximum.
So there's that. Hope that helps 😉

Hi Thomas, i just came across your post about the Scam on PB, can you hit me a DM i got in touch with that guy as well and probably have a direct contact to him, if its the same guy. (he is still responding more or less often to me nowadays)
Hello guys,
long time no see. I didn't play any games during the holidays; instead, I went on a trip around Europe armed with only a backpack, questionable French, and a stubborn belief that Google.
Translate would save me..
First step Spain. I thought I’d blend in. I don’t speak Spanish, but I figured a friendly smile and a lot of “gracias” and "Por favor, una cerveza" would get me through. Wrong. I walked into a small local tapas bar and tried to order with a mix of broken Spanish, hand gestures, and hope. What I got was... still a mystery. It was fried, vaguely fishy, and may or may not have still been alive when it hit the table. I ate it anyway to avoid offending anyone, and now I can say I’ve tried something Spanish. I just don’t know what .After the adventures at last year's EPT Barcelona, I had enough of the casino. The tables were full of regulars who took my money because I was playing 4-card PLO, where I barely remember the rules, and these days I'm mostly battling in the chaos of 6-card action. That's why I skipped this EPT and this beautiful casino near the see.
Next stop: Italy. The plan was to visit the Colosseum, but thanks to my terrible sense of direction, I spent two hours wandering around Rome thinking every random ruin was it. I asked a local for directions and ended up joining a group of Italian grandmothers on a day trip to a vineyard. Honestly, best detour ever. The wine helped soften the fact that I still hadn't seen the Colosseum. Here, I was more in the mood to play. No offense to the Italians, but in Europe, it's usually them who bring the cash to the tables at all sorts of events. The problem was, I couldn’t find a casino that offered 5 or 6-card PLO.
Germany was next. I assumed it would be all sausages and efficiency. Instead, I missed my train three times, each time just as it pulled away, like a rom-com scene where the train was my love interest. Finally, I got on, only to realize I was going in the wrong direction. I ended up in a tiny town where no one spoke English, but the beer was cold, No complaints. I did manage to catch the Euro though – the Poland vs. France match in Dortmund. But unfortunately, I have to complain a bit about the organization. The Germans are known for their work culture and preparation, but here, they seemed to have completely forgotten that and just let things run on their own. The previously mentioned trains were delayed by an eternity. And no card payments in most stores? WTF?" Good beer, but sorry Germany it is not enough.
By the time I reached Prague, I was determined to stick to my itinerary. Naturally, I lost it somewhere between buying a magnet shaped like the Prague Castle and getting hypnotized by a street performer dressed as a giant squirrel. I never did figure out why he was dressed like that, but he offered me a selfie, and I couldn't say no.
I finally returned home, exhausted, with no clear understanding of how many countries I'd actually visited, but a newfound appreciation for beers, wrong trains, and squirrel selfies.
Time to get to work. I see that the quality of the games and the regulars in 6-card PLO is improving a lot. Not good, trouble ahead. Below is a graph from this whole year. Nothing impressive, but I haven't had much motivation to study either. Good thing winter is coming – maybe I'll force myself to watch an instructional video and spend a couple of sleepy hours with the solver.
In the stable, we have a new fitness coach, and he made a plan for me that focuses mainly on biceps. I think he knows what's good. Who needs to work out legs, anyway?
And how are you guys doing? Still grinding that boring 4-card Omaha, or are you, like me, jumping on the rollercoaster of 6-card madness with those wild, crocodile-shaped graphs?
Post scriptum: Do you know any cool vlogs on YouTube or documentaries with Omaha in the background? I honestly recommend 'House of Poker' and the episodes about Finnish Omaha players.
Especially the episode 'LAST CALL S2E2: Never Play PLO Against the Finns.' But if it's in another language, like that strange Finnish, it should at least have English subtitles! 😀

dont want to put my face here of course. But it was kinda like here on first picture : https://www.expats.cz/czech-news/article...
And of course, such a photo isn't free. 😀
On a completely different note, I've got a question that's unrelated. I'm wondering why cars in the USA are about 30-40% cheaper than in Europe. You earn more and still have cheaper cars. Is that thanks to the Republicans? Haha
IAAI offers slightly damaged cars that are still much cheaper even after fees and excise duties. Since most of the forum members are from North America, could you offer me some advice on this? I'm looking to buy a Volvo XC60, relatively new, well-equipped, and with low mileage, costs around $35k including repairs and fees, while in Europe it costs about $45k.
I know there are some minor differences that need to be adjusted, like the rear lights, but it seems a bit suspicious to me. Do any of you have experience with such auctions, or can you recommend something else?
