PLO/ Life... Built BR 1200 to 45k... thread 2
Hero is a 29 year old, part time PLO player and full time fitness professional.
As the title suggests, this is my second thread. The first one was more centered around my journey to getting sober at age 24. I will link the thread somewhere below.
The thread started with me having $1200 bankroll, and now I’m happy to say that bankroll has been built to 45k. Almost exclusively from playing PLO .3/.6 6 max online and live games with 2/2/5 1k cap.
This thread will serve as an opportunity for some people to see into the great game of PLO, allow me to think on paper, and give some insight to my life and mindset.
I am very grateful for the life I live today, and am excited to continue the journey.

Had a good December volume wise, played 74 hours total. Played 16 live sessions. Was in the green 11/16. Was having a bigger month and then ran a little bad at the end, lost 4 out of the last 5 sessions, including a 2.2k pot allin with top set, which is PLO, but that swing obviously changed the results of December.
Anyways, 74 hours/ $1551 gross profit.
Had an absolute bink with sports betting player props. I don’t bet huge usually and stick with player props and fantasy/ DFS. Up just under $3k those 3 things combined over the last 4 years.

Been a tough 2 weeks poker wise.
Couldn’t hold up with top set in two back to back spots 2k+ pots.
QQ97 on Q102ss, gii on flop for around 2.3k and we run into KJJ9ss against a more aggressive opponent and lose on a Q1027A runout. We are actually a slight underdog on this flop so it is what it is.
AAK9ccss on AQ85ddcc we get it in 3 ways and can’t hold on a river 2. Run into K345dd back door wheel, they were short stacked but he took the $1400 main, thankfully we got the side pot back which was $600 given the 2 was offsuit but still tough.
So yeah definitely happens but 4k in pots at 2-2, with the nut top set over a 2 week span is a big swing obviously. Starting the month down $700 and last month we hit $3k up and finished it with half of that. Happens.
Ran super well again in sports betting/ daily fantasy. Didn’t make a wager/ lineup entry for over $50 ( besides a hedge ) and made $2850 in an 8 day span. Posted the 95-1 earlier but hit a 44-1, 55-1 and 57-1 on week 18 Sunday.
The thesis is simple, the DraftKings alt lines for rec/rush for certain boom/ bust players are too low. I have been finding lines that are almost double the payout on DK versus FD.
Been sick the last 2 weeks or so so haven’t gotten into the poker rooms.
Fortunately we stayed extremely hot on our thesis of build a bunch of parlays with high ceiling WRs against Lions/ Rams… especially when they play each other !
Been a wild run, three of those from divisional weekend. Mason Rudolph being +900 and +800 were lines I snagged even after the news of the game being postponed to Monday. The line closed at +380 so massive value for us.
Then we hit a 168-1 off a bonus bet again using Mike Evans versus Lions as one of the 5-1, and Lamar’s 5-1 was too low and pounced on that.
Starting to feel a bit better and planning on seeing some flops this week.
