Hey everyone,

October is halfway over, and I'm happy to report that it's been a fantastic month so far! I've managed to maintain a solid 12bb/100 win rate, even with the lower volume due to my live poker activities. I've also cashed in €2k from live games, making it a profitable month overall.

October Recap - Live Games, Coaching, and a Back Hiccup

Hey everyone,

October turned out a bit different than planned, but overall, it was a positive month.

Live Games & Perla Trip:

I kicked off the month with a trip to Perla Casino in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. Unfortunately, a nagging back issue flared up, limiting my live play significantly. Despite the pain, I managed to squeeze in a tournament and some cash games. I especially enjoyed the 2/5€ cash games, which felt quite profitable. This trip solidified my interest in exploring more live poker opportunities at casinos, and I'm already considering future visits to Perla or other venues.

Online Grind & Win Rate:

While live play was curtailed, I still managed to log a decent 55 hours online. Running good and playing solid, I maintained a respectable 10bb/100 win rate.

Coaching Update:

I'm happy to share that my coaching group is steadily growing! I'm receiving more coaching inquiries, and the group size is still manageable. This allows Blaž and me to prioritize personalized coaching and dedicate sufficient time to each student's needs. If you're interested in improving your game, be sure to check out the Coaching thread.

Looking Forward:

Despite the back trouble, October was a productive month. Heading into November, I'm focused on managing my health, continuing to grow our coaching group, and hopefully, expanding my live poker experience.

Stay tuned for more updates!

See you at the tables,

Nice recap and best of luck in November!

Hey everyone,

As some of you know, I had some back problems last month. Because of that, I was forced to reduce my play volume to only 16k hands. Unfortunately, the combination of a smaller volume and negative run resulted in the first month in a long time that I didn't end up in the plus, even with a solid rakeback.

On the other hand, this gave me the opportunity to focus on recovery. I'm feeling much better now and have already started training to prepare for the upcoming challenges.

In December, I plan to make the most of the time before the holidays and make up for lost time. My goal is to increase my play volume and get back into a positive rhythm.

From Tournaments to Cash Games: Our Student's Incredible Transformation!

We have some exciting news to share! One of our students, who previously had experience in live tournaments but struggled to make a consistent living from them, decided to take a break from poker and join our coaching program.

When he started with us 8 months ago, he was a complete beginner in cash games. After an initial adjustment period and overcoming some early challenges, he has transformed into a profitable player at NL50.

Overall, across 300k hands, he has achieved a 5bb/100 win rate.

More impressively, his recent 150k hands have shown a remarkable 10bb/100 win rate.

This success story proves that with the right support and commitment, anyone can successfully transition from live tournaments to cash games and become a profitable player.

What we offer:

Personalized approach: Each student receives individualized attention and a program tailored to their specific needs.
Experienced coach: I have years of experience playing poker and coaching.

Title: January Recap – Grinding, Learning & a Fresh Focus

Hey everyone,

January was a solid month at the tables. Despite having guests for the first five days (which meant almost no volume early on), I still managed to grind 105 hours. Once I got going, I kept pushing, and it felt great to build momentum.

Key Takeaways from January:
105 Hours Played – Finally crossed the 100-hour mark despite a slow start.
EV Turnaround – After some frustrating stretches, EV finally swung in my favor—about time!
Monotone Board Leaks – Realized this is a key area where I’m leaving money on the table.

Goals for February:
120 Hours of Play – Pushing volume up while keeping quality high.
Mastering Monotone Boards –

Understanding theoretical adjustments (how they differ from other textures).
Finding key exploits.
Improving c-bet strategies, bluffing frequencies, and hand selection.

Looking for Insights!
If anyone has solid resources on monotone board strategies—GTO insights, exploits, or any underrated gems—drop them please.

Let’s crush February. See you at the tables!
