Week 42 Recap

Greetings,
Despite results imo solid week, head was in a good place. During weekend hoped into some 100nl, despite my original plane to play only 50nl, games where good but running sub optimal.
Sleep was good, Gym was a little bit off but still put in the reps. And happy to do A-game course. Had a fun live mtt which I ended 6/64 but at around ~1am which is messing my next days plans.

For following week, grind as usual (no live mtt). Want to be consistent esp in mental area.

Week 43 Recap

Greetings,
Solid week and happy with results. Still a lot of improvement I could have with routine/discipline/mental, which is motivating knowing it's in my hands to have better results. Friday-Sunday tried not looking at poker balance (failed once), but I found it helping me focus on decisions better In game. Will try to not look at my balance till last Sundays session and see where it takes me.
Gonna do A-game week 2 and revisit my own approach to the game as with last two months of running bad/playing bad/bad mental I have been deviating from my winning ways.

Monday/Tuesday free from online poker (blog/study/sauna/live mtt). Wen/Fri/Sat/Sun grinding online.

Week 44 Recap

Greetings,
Better week, ran good and had some fun spots. Did not look at results for the whole week which is PR for me... As a result felt as my focus was directed in right directions (decisions and quantity of my play). Also played a little zoom mixed in with my regular tables, but I'm a little bit of an adrenaline junkie and as a result my decision become sloppy and eventually bad. (no more 25nl and no more then 1 table of zoom while grinding).
Played live mtt which was fun and I lasted till 5th place (from 55 opponents), I play them for fun just to get out of house and socialize 1x a week.
Still doing A-game course week 2 as I slacked a little.

Week 45 Recap

Greetings,
All things considered okeyish week, was not looking at results which helped me put in the volume. Did have a feeling of getting destroyed at 100nl, while at the same time destroying 50nl... so was not sure what will the end result look like. I think part reason of this result is me forcing plays at 100nl and being laid back at 50nl... so will play 50nl for upcoming week. Weird to have positive EV(breakeven) and being down 850$.
Played one live mtt, played it bad and busted right after late reg.
Did A-game week 2. Also will have better/any schedule for my free days, as I have been wasting them doing noting and at the end feeling like trash.

Week 46 Recap

Greetings,
Better week, still few punts but felt better. After looking at results at the end of the week saw how swingy results where and aligns with my performance. Fine but could be better. Was very fun last day as I decided to go for reaching rakeback goals (25% to 30% rb) so had to grind 160$ rake on Sunday. Week 47 Recap

Greetings,
Good week, still some avoidable missteps but improvement from last week. Overall happy with results and less happy with routine (gym/studies). Plan is to stay at 50nl a bit longer.

For the following 3 weeks plan to change my routine quite a bit as I plan to play tournament series online and all the tournament start 20:00 so will be playing more into the night (4-5 cash tables and 1-2 mtts). So no morning session and start grinding ~17:00 take a break and then grind until I'm in the mtt. Only shame is that all the tournaments have 8min blind levels but fields are under 200ppl as you can participate only if your from Baltic country's. Excited to change my routine and play some other format. Also friend is buying half of my action and I won't play that main event as those day A-D stacks gets combined in day 2 so more like 90$ mtt(not a fan of format like that). there is also leaderboard for this thing (1st place gets 2k$ package). Will show results at the end of series.

Greetings,
Good week in a weird way, not happy with my cash game quality and results are showing. Some of the fault could be laid on bad routine/sleep schedule. So going back to my standard routine ( 9am wake up, walk+ gym, morning sessions, midday study, 2 evening session , sleep ~23:00) even if I play ''Baltic Poker League" they start 19:00/20:00 the field is small (under 100ppl) and blind levels are 8min so don't need to worry about playing till 1-2am.

I will in foreseeable future think of myself as cash game Reg, BUT winning donkaments are always exciting and this week was a lot of that. Wednesday Had my biggest mtt cash 1079,69$ in 11$ PKO (not Baltic Poker League so 100% for myself). Saturday was checking mtt lobby as cash games where dry (weird for Saturday), and saw 150€ tourney to 1200€ package to Battle of Malta with 5 Latvians playing it (2 of them tagged fish) so did some research and within 10min left of late reg I jumped in (~20bb) and won it lol. Also Sunday I final tabled the 22$ Mystery Bounty of Baltic Poker League got 6 place for 151$ (did not count that into results as I will post summery of Baltic Poker league when its done).

How are we finding playing as a profession so far? Where I live, the cost of living makes it completely unfeasible to play $0.25/$0.50 as a livelihood, even less so when considering a downswing. I'd have assumed in Central Europe you'd have to become essentially a rakeback grinder like the infinite Belarus pool on Stars. How far are you getting yourself on a 10k/week volume?

I enjoy the flexibility and freedom that playing online poker gives. Poker also helps me improve discipline, structure and mental(something I lack very much)

I withdraw ~1500€ every month and that is enough to survive (Gf also makes ~600€).... Rent + Utilities is like 500€, Phone + wifi ~150€, Gf University 180€.
And on top of that, 25,5% after first 3k€ per year goes to tax men (was 23%).

After Gf graduates university we plan to move to diffrent country, preferably one with no tax on poker and nicer weather.

Don't plan to stay at 50nl for long, need to fix some leaks (mainly mental) and go back to 100nl and move up to 200nl. I could never be rakeback grinder my autopilot is bad and I think every spot is unique and would quickly burn out.

Week 49 & 50 Recap

Greetings,
Fun exciting two weeks. Started with winning small mtt for ~400$ and being breakeven in cash as my mind was already in Malta.
Then Malta trip, lost the 600€ before late reg ended (most of my chips in one hand). But all good as same day at hotel while playing on phone I won ~600$ in 11$ mtt. Overall nice relaxing trip, played some mtt on phone while gf had her work.
After Trip was over on 10.04. grinded online and made 23 buyins in 3 days...Obv running hot, maybe also result of having mental reset in Malta.

For the following week plan is to go back to my regular routine. Monday/Thus free, Tue/Wen/Fri/Sat/Sun grind(3 sessions per day)

Week 51 Recap

Greetings,
Not happy with the week, even with some very bright/exciting moments. Cash games was really bad for me as I lacked discipline/sleep/performance (only me to blame for it). Many easily avoidable loses and almost no work done to improve my game.
But besides cash games struggles which really upsets me, Donkaments where fun. Won ticket to 215$ mtt(lost) from BPL freeroll, Won 109$ The Sunday Party (+292,31$) from 16,5$ satty, won 1500€ package from 22€ to 150€ to bink, and won small 7,5$ hyper for 154,23$, got into 55$ MB but busted fast. Was a lot of fun playing larger buyin donkaments, but can't figure out how much I'm +/- as 215$ shows as -215$ even when I got it for free etc etc. Will start to write down mtt results by hand.
The 1500€ package is to one of three locations (pic below), been to Malta two times this year already, Rozvadov is in the middle of nowhere, so I guess I'm going to Slovakia.

For the next week, GF is in Italy till Saturday morning and I would like to use this time get back to better sleeping habits and head down grind/study and if I'm feeling good and sharp go for 100nl again this weekend. So Monday/Wednesday free and rest of the week head down grind/study.

Biggest Win:
HH1: Vs Unknown, not a hu expert but enjoy the format, besides preflop which I'm not sure about seems standard. Would be surprised that XC 55 is good from opponents perspective.

Luckiest:
HH3: Vs Maniac, looks bad but in last 10 hands he found a way to put his 200bb stack in the middle like 4 times, donk jamming SRP etc etc. So figured KQ is good enough.

Unluckiest:
HH4: Vs Reg, unlucky because he miss clicked preflop lol, was putting him on a lot of pairs heavy range.

Week 52 Recap

Greetings,
Interesting week, results are good duo to live mtt bink. Was off balance as GF was traveling to Italy and starting my week with playing live mtt until 4am is not gonna help my routine.
Cash games where fine and even played small amount of 100nl. Small volume (6k hands only), skipped one playing day as planning to have a grind day after live mtt is never good idea.
Online mtt where okey, won 109$ ticket (haven't used yet) and 150€ ticket to the same mtt that gave me 1500€ package (would be cool to bink again lol).
Also planed live poker trip to Prague in the middle of May with one of my poker friends.
Also filled my taxes for 2024.

For the next week, Monday/Thursday free... Other week days grind + Wednesday live mtt.

Cash: +182,05$
Online Mtts: -84$
Live Mtts: +740€
Live Cash: -
RB: +62,5$
Total: +1005$ (if I convert € to $)

Nice read once again! That's funny with the unsubbing from gym...just did the same a few days ago. Later the boss called me and offered a break of 3 months instead which I agreed to. So over the summer want to train outside and hopefully find new hobby. We have a nice stadium nearby where I can train everything for free..gonna start with running and calisthenics for beginner workouts. Will also take a 6 week golf course to see if this is something for me.

How do you want to train?
