Poker Bankroll Challenge: My Journey from $0
My $0 Poker Bankroll Challenge Begins
Hey everyone,
I have decided to officially start a Poker Bankroll Challenge from $0 to $1,000,000, and I am putting it out here publicly to stay accountable and share the grind.
Why I'm Doing This
I have always loved poker, the mix of strategy, psychology, and discipline. But instead of throwing money at the game, I want to earn every cent from the ground up. No deposits, no shortcuts. Just freerolls, micro-grinding, and improvement.
This is not just about building a bankroll. It is about building a stronger mindset, decision-making process, and long-term discipline.
The Rules
1. Start with $0, no deposits.
2. Play only freerolls until I have a playable bankroll.
3. Use strict bankroll management:
Cash games: 20+ buy-ins
Tournaments: 100 buy-ins
4. Track every session, win or lose.
5. Study consistently (videos, forums, hand reviews).
6. Post updates regularly — even when it sucks.
Milestones to Crush
Milestone Goal Description
Level 0- $0 - Freerolls only. Mission: get that first cash!
Level 1- $5 - Start playing $0.01/$0.02 cash
Level 2- $20 - Move to stable micro-stakes play. Tighten bankroll rules.
Level 3- $50 - Unlock ability to multi-table. Start studying ranges.
Level 4- $100 - Begin shot-taking NL5 and $1 MTTs.
Level 5- $250 - Build a consistent win rate. Potentially test small MTTs.
Level 6- $500 - Take shots at NL10 or $2-$5 MTTs. Post regular hand reviews.
Level 7- $1,000 - Officially crush micros. Solid bankroll and study habit foundation.
I will only move up when bankroll AND skill suggest I am ready. No ego shots.
Platforms I’m Playing On
I will play freerolls on:
GG poker - Username: Letsgo
888poker - Username: ka8igitis_23
ACR - Username: l1f315G00D
Final Thoughts
I know this won’t be easy. Freerolls are swingy, micros can be brutal, and the mental game is real. But I am here for the long haul — win or lose — and I hope this inspires others to start a challenge too.
If you're on a similar journey, let's connect. We can share hands, tilt stories, and wins.
Let’s build something from nothing.
See you at the tables.
