this is obviously a cooler, trips over trips in 5 card draw. which reminded me another hand i recently played from a session where my HH got wiped on whatsapp - but i do recall this particular hand: i flatted trip eights w hearts right behind pescatori's open (he had trip kings with hearts) and nejad defended big w aces or aces up, flop Axx two hearts - ali checks, max bets, i raise, ali cold calls, and max 3bets the flop, we both call. it was a tough spot on drawing 1 or 2, eventually i elected to draw 1 because i put max on top set and ali on big flush draw so if i pick up more omaha equity in the form of straight draws i can raise the turn to push out ali. I didn't boat up and got scooped - simply unfortunate.

Out here in Florida all the games at my local room are mostly nl Texas there is a big o game twice a week very jelly of all the fun variants hopefully you get all the deuces soon and you can go for the big snow

if i 3bet and draw 2 it's so clear i have trips - in drawmaha you can draw 2 cuz u may have aces and a working side card but in straight up high i went for deception cuz if someone makes lower trips they may donk to get value from my perceived aces up.
ppl show up and u explain to them but they dont sit. i recall gerhart making a comment on me stepping into 80/160 for the first time - something along the line of - someone grabbed the plagues n looked at them n actually sat down! iirc i had a roll of 20k and i bought in 4k n lost 3k on the night - played my first ever hand of drawmaha w jacks up n jack high flush - but got owned in archie n a bad beat in holdem. it wasnt san diego back then when the game ran at resorts world. i remember putting out $80 for the big blind but my nerves were at ease because the game was O8 and i didnt defend.
and there are times ppl that are total random to the vegas crew but not random to mix that show up - i dont bother listening to them saying how often/little they played certain variants. After a few orbits, you can get a feel.
seeing some of these markup on stake kings make me feel hella generous with my 1.33 n 1.67 offers....

How do you decide to draw or not with your good but not great pat hands? I find these games get players into the most trouble.

or maybe bell 80? There's a game in the mix today - stud8 w mandatory straddle aka one hole auto completes. I remember playing 12/24 OE w kill at gardens and stud kill works in a way that the person kills it puts the kill up (as a completion) for bringin.
