Fundamentals and Simplicity

Hey all 2nd attempt at a poker goals thread. This one's been more successful than last. Looking to make easy decisions at the table by having great fundamentals. Have a YouTube video channel tracking my progress. So far, in for $700 and up $2,600 in 2 days. Lost a $1,200 pot with Aces full vs. quads. Was only .50c/1 table the games play huge. Earlier this morning won $700 at plo$100 also have about $550 in rakeback coming to me. Sub to my channel, i update with bankroll pics.

Hello and good luck mate.

By your view what are the most important fundamentals in poker?

Being tight and aggressive... Playing by the book IN ORDER to be creative at certain times.

Lost a $2700 pot to a 1 outter... And a $2000 pot where I was 82%.

Have I think $700 in r.b. coming to me. Going to try and play .10.20.

Also lost a $1200 pot flopped a boat on a99 board... Aces full vs quads.

Started with $160. Up $130 at .10.20 plo in about 450 hands.

Won a 400 bb pot in .501 where I called a pot sized 3 bet and led out for 100 bigs on a 10103 board with 2 hearts. I had kqxx hearts he called turn was an ace and I donked all in for 60 bigs around and he called with kk, no ace or 10 or fd so that's crazy but river brought a heart so I was safe.

Anyways see ya later guys

Busted. Got to $850 but I'm living in a room with another person so it's really hard to just play poker... Very excited at sometimes ecstatic to be on a site that I feel I have an edge on plus getting 60% rakeback.

My plan for next deposit (by end of the month) is to STAY at plo .10c.20c. I want to get an apartment of my own within a few months, so by January. Ultimately I want to get a mortgage on a house. That's by 2028.

Was bankrolled for $60, so up $30. Changed my mind about a house unless it's in Minneapolis. I fell in love with that city tonight. Saw some condos in my price range (hoping) that I Love alot. Minneapolis just seems like a city that goes unnoticed plus is very clean... Like squeaky clean. Haha.

Enjoy

Oh ok... Thanks for sharing with me. What do you feel the fundamentals are when it comes to actual gameplay? That's what I thought you meant, to me at least playing fundamentally sound poker always begins with being tight and aggressive. Also not hesitating on your decisions. This usually allows for a solid table image so that your not paranoid about making those moves I just mentioned and doesn't let your opponents or rather give them the opportunity to get into personal "vendettas," if you will in they're play against you. Basically, playing the game the right way with respect garners respect from others at the table. Having the solid image due to proper fundamentals translates to you not feeling paranoid at the table and just logically and in the most real reality way the least paranoid you are the harder it is to read you as just a natural affect of that solid image.

On a different note, having and keeping your life simple will help this and coincides with what I said to a large degree as a simple life allows for priorities to be central to your life and having your priority's right let's you play guilt free (as long as you love poker and aren't just trying to gamble it up for the money) obviously they'res degrees to what I just said.

On a separate note I lost the $90. My roommate who I disliked greatly at first who I than thought was nice turns out he's not that nice at all and seems to be "miffed," if he sees my concentrate at all. He started kicking his feet up last night when he seen i wasn't behaving according to a "schedule," and was up at 2am playing poker. So, tilted away my roll after I started seeing him throw a semi hissy fit that I dare stay up late... But he's okay, just s little upset because he was kind of fishing for money when I was up the $4k and I gave him $20 and immediately tilted the $4k away that night... Than I was up and he started keeping tabs on me when I turned $160 to $850 so I just realized I can't really play poker around him or kind of show any type of "power," at doing anything or hell get offended.

Oh well, going to deposit $800 towards end of the month and than hoping to complete my first challenge of this thread and that's to turn the $800 into $10,000 by February so I'll have enough for a bankroll and my own apartment. Going to stick to a strict $80 stop loss for the day (4 buyins of $20)

G ' day
