Moving to Playa Del Carmen to Grind up in MTTs in 2025!

I'm a 31 year old poker pro from England, The past 5 years or so I have been playing a mix of online cash and live cash, with a lot of private games and also trips to america, overall have been a full time poker player for the past 8 years, before I swapped to cash I was playing 50abi MTTs getting absolutely dumpstered in my 109+ shots and decided to swap to cash because the variance was too much to cope with at the time.

Having decided I fucking hate English winters and seasonal depression is in fact real I have concluded that the goated move was to go to somewhere like Mexico, Bali or Vietnam and have settled on Mexico for now. Currently I am staying in Playa Del Carmen (Feel like some kind of wannabe 2010 reg hanging out here but vamoooo) and so far things have been super chill, I have a 1 bedroom apartment with AC and a swimming pool upstairs, got myself a grind area as well which is super chill and I like the building quite a lot, plenty of good local food spots which are hella cheap and a bit out the way of 5th avenue which is the main touristy spot so its more chill.

My goals for poker during the next 12 months are very simple, establish ourselves at 100abi with an ok winrate, I am at a point in my career where I have had fun and got to travel the world but due to a mix of mental game issues and some big spots that didn't pay out I need to really get my head down and start working hard or just say it's been a fun chapter of my life and move on. Having framed it this way actually has made me a lot more motivated and at peace with the situation, am not backed but have some coaching and a lot of friends I can speak to about MTT spots and Mexico is the perfect timezone to do this so we are giving ourselves the best opportunity to succeed.

My goal with this blog is basically to have a mix of lifestyle in mexico stuff, food porn, talking about swapping from cash to mtts and what is worth studying and also hopefully some glorious brag posts because at this point we have farmed enough galfond bucks over the years we need to cash them at some point
