NL10 to the high stakes end boss
Hey, I started like 2 threads before but always ended up tilting everything away. Now I started playing poker after a lo
Downswinging still keep going.I don't even know what to do in some hands, really. Posted hands that I encounter daily, it's crazy. **** the pre flop coolers / bad beats but those post flop are the worst of the worst. Today's graph: Villain shows 65sHere villain shows AA.BR: 826.06 USD
I would 3bet large the QQ 100% against EP 3 bb 40/30player. Like 14 bb. That probably wouldn't change the end result because that kind of assumed player profile don't like folding their LSC's or small/medium pocket pairs IP. Hell, I would 3bet against those stats even if they minraised even though I know QQ can then become a mixing call/3bet against a range that opens EP 18-22%, because I would assume those stats open wider, and I don't see much point in protecting our preflop calls with AKo or QQ against players who are unlikely to counter exploit. Edit: just realized it's ante, not sure how it changes things in the QQ hand.
The KQs is just GG. Could stab the flop but again we would have been reloading after the hand anyways. I would make a note that this guy might know the pool over stabs the flop in 3bet pots, and therefore maybe has a weaker than average cbet range and consequentially a stronger than average check-raise/call range on the flop in 3bet pots.
gl in your grind and studies buddy!
A weekly update like always.
Been really rough on the poker tables, not gonna lie. I couldn't do **** for the past 30k+ hands etc. Today finally I played 2 sessions and they were really good.
I've tilted a few buy ins but I remembered that I will regret if I keep doing this because I tilted off a BR a few times already.
I bought too much CHP. Instead of buying for 10 dollars, I bought for 100 usd. So BR would be 861.24 USD. xD
BR: 761.24 USD
Played 69k hands overall.

I honestly sometimes call, mostly I 3 bet. That's my 'mixing', don't have a randomizer. Don't think it's needed because no one is gonna exploit me like you mentioned.
Thx, appreciate it!
Weekly.Been playing but haven't posted. Still during the downswing and I think I actually play decent. The hands I'm in are crazy for the past 2 weeks + I whiff on a lot of boards... BR: 565.97 USD
Variance can be brutal, especially at microstakes.
If you feel your decisions are solid, that’s the most important part. The results will catch up eventually. Hang in there.

I don't even know, man. Now I see why I tilted a lot before playing poker.
The downswings I hit are crazy. Yeah, in a vaccuum it's gonna catch up if you're playing good. The question is when?
Today played another sesh, once again I'm down. Lost 2 times KK vs AA today as well. 😀
Posted a few hands I encounter daily. Don't tell me about whiffing 3 bet pots.

Ouch, the coolers are insane.
You can take a break to prevent burnout.

Yeah, it''s been crazy and still is. Today's session I'm barely up.
Still trying to play decent. I hope it's gonna turn around eventually.
The worst hands are when I whiff a 3 bet pot and I lose several hands like this. It piles up.

Are you using Hand2Note for the tracker?
You can always post your hands here, the 3bet pot spots that you mentioned, and we can discuss them. I'm still learning, too. Let's learn together.

Yeah, h2n.
We can learn together, that's fine. You play the same stakes?
It's literally like that for over 50k hands I would say. Even if I'm in the green at start, it's always goes downhill with ridiculous hands.
Don't know wtf is going on.

Yes I'm playing Microstakes also.
You can try to review big pot hands after session that'll help a lot.
in which poker room that you are playing?
Quick update and it's been pretty good this week. Finally started to hit some hands after a long stretch of crazy sessions. I stopped c-betting on the flop because people overcall it by a lot. I try mixing checks and bets. Won a bit of cash in an MTT, 7 USD. BR: 618.95 USD
That sounds great.
That's the spirit. You got this.
Didn't update last week, so I will update today.
I honestly don't know what the **** is going on. No matter what I do, I lose and I don't even spew stacks. It's just insane what's going on.
Whiffing 3 bets, villain pull out hands out of their ass and I'm beat. Now I remember why I was losing bankrolls before. I hit a crazy ass downswing and I can't do ****.
Amount of times I squeezed with a strong ass hand and I whiffed flops, it's just hard to believe as well.
If I see someone saying they beat their stake and they have 100k hands played, it's bullshit.
I'm left with 280 USD and it's probably going to be at 0 USD in some time and I'm not even on tilt.
I'm gonna still try to play good but the way things are going, I'm certain it's gonna be ggs.
I also love seeing nits that cooler people left and right and their huge stacks when I can't do ****. xD

Good luck mate, that's still a solid roll for nl10. You'll rebuild
Trust me, you are on tilt. I can feel it in your posts.
I play PLO so the swings are much worse and more often and i had the same thing so that is why i reconise it.
You want to win money and grow your roll (fast). That is not the right mindset. You need to have fun and focus on playing good poker.
And you need to ask yourself THE Question: Was I unlucky or did i play bad? Trust me, allot of times it's the last one.
And you need to get in to your feelings. You need to feel it when you are not 100% focussed or starting to tilt (doesnt have to be tilt, it could also be frustration of not hitting flops and have to fold over and over again). Then you need to stop. Take a break of a few hours or 1 or 2 days, reset your mindset.
You dont want to win money. You want to play your best and have fun at the tables. You need to be in the right mindset. The results will follow.
You can play good poker for months and f*ck it up in just a couple of days so allot my point is this: How you feel at the tables have a big impact on your winnings. The next upswing will come and poker will feel like an easy game again. The thing is that you want to keep your losses in control in the bad periods.
If you feel like your running bad then sure that will be the case. But the effect is that running bad will result in more mistakes and then you will go down even more. Then the circle is complete and you will go down fast.
I drop down a stake almost weekly, just to win back some confidence and bankroll. And remember: you are not in a hurry, it's a long term game and you need to treat it like that ( look at my graph and the break even spell of 150 sessions). keep your cool, keep grinding and improving and then the results will come.
My results for 1 year of grinding, starting from 10$. mostly PLO and in the beginning some mtt's. The graph gives me confidence when i run bad that i can make that money back so the graph is a really important motivator because i dont want it to go down to much so i just lower my stakes to keep the swings in controll and to keep fun and beating the game. I want to keep the graph looking sexy 😀

Good luck on your journey.

I'm not on tilt, trust me.
I know what spewing left and right is cause I did it in the past.
I would say that I most likely run bad. 😀
Thx for the good luck tho.
Update, update.
Haven't reallly posted in a while, was locked in playing poker, wanted really to focus on my game.
Just like a week ago started playing way more aggro, started calling down more and stopped thinking that 'they always have it'.
I didn't put study much of my sessions, just a bit. Watched a lot of poker stuff on yt tho.
I think that I've been playing really, really well. Been playing some $2 sattelites on but no success story here so far.
Stats from the 24.01 till today:

All graph:

BR: 1205.12 USD
All time graph doesn't look good but we will end up in the green.
Another good session.
Start was a bit shaky, running into coolers, then I coolered a guy with KK who was slowrolling me with his whole timebank with aces. 😃
In general, a good session in my opinion. Been running above EV but I play very good lately.

Hand of the sesh:

Not sure if it's a good play thery wise. It's just we unblock a lot of folds + not showdown so I decided to bet on the river.
