PLO Blog
Hey everyone,
Figured Iβd start a little blog to keep myself motivated and put in more volume. Iβve been playing PLO4 for around 4 years now. The whole journey started after more than a decade of grinding NLH β I was basically busted with about $3k left in my roll π
I joined Poker Ninjas at that point, picked things up pretty quickly, and was able to move up to PLO1k after a few months. Since around August Iβve been playing on my own, and of course, as soon as I went solo, I ran straight into the biggest downswing of my life β classic timing.
After that brutal stretch and now playing with my own money, I decided to chill a bit and mess around with PLO6 on GG. Got about 30k hands so far β results look great, but itβs still too early to say much about the winrate. Honestly, Iβm slightly afraid they might ban me if I keep crushing π
Most of my βcareerβ Iβve been pretty lazy with volume, and I really want to change that going forward. Hopefully this blog helps me stay consistent.
Thatβs it for now β graph below, its app only, mostly 1k stakes mix plo4/5, I will post GG graph when I play at least 50k hands.

I’ve just played 50k hands of PLO6, mostly at the $1/$2 stakes. It was my first real experience with this format — before that, I’d played maybe 500 hands total — so I’m definitely still making plenty of mistakes. It’s nice to play on a proper poker room again; there’s always action no matter the time of day. It’s also been a while since I played more than 2–3 tables at once — here I usually play around six, and sometimes I even lose track of the action.
does anyone know if GGPoker bans for bum-hunting? I often hesitated to change tables immediately even if they were full of regs, and I’m wondering whether that kind of play was necessary.

bumhunting is against the terms and conditions, but leaving a table when it;s full of regs isn't.
For the past few days, I’ve been playing 2/5, and you can definitely feel the jump in game quality. I rarely see any recreational players, and when they do show up, they tend to play very passively. Still, I get the impression that a good chunk of the regs don’t fully know what they’re doing… though maybe I’m just a 6c fish running on some insane upswing.
A month ago, I deposited $2k on GG, and today I’m sitting at $29k — it’s been a very good month, a nice change of pace after a heavy downswing. I’ve also decided to share a bit more about myself. Initially, I didn’t want to get into that here, but I figured… why not?
Just three years ago, I was in the worst shape of my life. I’d always been the really skinny guy, but after turning 30, the lack of movement and a bad diet caught up with me. I ended up about 5 kg overweight and could barely do seven push-ups.
I decided to start training with a personal trainer because I figured that if I was paying someone and they were literally waiting for me, I’d feel obligated to show up. And honestly, it was the best decision I’ve ever made. It’s been three years now since I started exercising regularly. These days I train on my own, and I’m in the gym 3–5 times a week simply because I enjoy it. My goal for the end of the year is to do 15 pull-ups (overhand) and get my first muscle-up. It might be tough — right now I can do about 11–12 pull-ups, and I haven’t even attempted a muscle-up yet.
Another fun fact is that I only learned as an adult that I have something called Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS). Honestly, it’s pretty brutal and keeps getting worse with age. I’m not going to list all my symptoms here, because that’s not the point, but there are days when the pain is just constant. I’m thinking about trying yoga, meditation, stretching — maybe something like that could help a bit.
Huge, glgl!
Curious how much you worried about collusion when you played on apps? I'd imagine the colluders aren't good at being subtle so maybe it's just easy to spot if you pay attention
Hey, I was not worried about collusions at all, A lot of the players were from our stable.
I didnt played much in last 2 weeks, but overall my results look very good, I think I have around 10bb at 2/5 stakes after like 30-40k hands, overall since I deposied I won like slightly over 50k$ ( 8k from BBJ ) yesterday I logged in first time after a week of inactivity and I realized my rakeback went down from 20%, to like 8% right now ( I have GG Platinium status ), I heard that they will not give a lot of rakeback for winning players but 8% is kinda crazy -.-
This xmas 12-days gift boxes reduce regular rb a lot, but I think it bounces back from those daily gift boxes almost to normal level. Just remember to claim this boxes within 24h
My pvi in regular rb were about 0,5-0,6 and during this xmas it went to 0,15 witouth gift boxes lol
Ahh I missed that there is some christmas promotion, thanks for letting me now.
Hey, I'm impressed with your results. EV looks unrealistic. What are your poker goals? Don't you feel up to playing any super high games?

I donβt have any specific goals. It would be nice to be playing 2k or higher, but I donβt have the bankroll for that.
Iβve just played my first session under the new Ocean Rewards system. After about 6 hours of grinding and roughly $1,250 in rake (according to DH2), I received around 140k gems. Even if I exchange those gems for the $50k reward (which would take about 7 months to accumulate), my rakeback drops from around 23β25% to roughly 19%.
So instead of getting higher rakeback with the new loyalty system, Iβm effectively losing 4β5% while locking my gems aka money for over half a year. If I were to exchange gems on a weekly or monthly basis, my rakeback would drop even further, to around 14β15%. Its horrible.
Wtff thats terrible. I expected small drop but thats huge and locking rb inside for that long, what is that lol.
Btw terms of bum hunting
