Former (and probably current) shitreg thread for accountability and discipline

I'm lucky enough to have always been a winning player, started back in 2003 and was there to ride the poker boom with Pokerstars and FullTilt in the glory days. Took it for granted, never studied, spent the money as fast as it came, and sort of became a washed up shitreg. After taking some various jobs this last two years, I've made my way back to poker full time, and am looking to do it in a disciplined, business like fashion. Emotional control and tilt/accepting beats has always been a soft spot in my game, I dunno if I just feel entitled to win or what, but I am recognizing and reversing that trend. Beats happen, so suck it up buttercup. Onto the next hand.

I'll be playing primarily on ClubWPTGold as RackCitySanta, starting at 100nl. In the last 4 months I've taken a $200 roll to just over $15k playing almost exclusively 100nl. The goals for the rest of the year and moving forward are as follows:

Goals:

-2 tables, 8hrs per day = approx 1200 hands per day
-don’t punt. adjust with each street/new information, act accordingly
-$15k in account by Jan 1 (i cashed $5k off in this first 4months)
-Shot take 200nl anytime above $10k roll when/if games look good, move back down to exclusively 100nl if we drop to $9k roll
-regulate emotions/tilt. recognize, breathe, accept, know.
-track and stay accountable: hours played, bankroll, how session went, noteworthy hands

I'll be posting here each day to hold myself accountable. It's a bit early for New Year's Resolutions but might as well start sooner than later. Best of luck to us!

Day Two, Dec 2, 2025:

Bankroll Start: $10, 000
Hours Played: 6am-8:30am.

Session Notes: games were very good this morning. felt very locked in, had my notes tab open and then another running tab of all the hands i played that were meaningful (40+bb) pots. having the tab of my own hands open keeps me focused and also helps me realize that i do hit good hands sometimes, it’s not just all suckouts. Really helped having reads on players, it led to a 260bb pot where i checked JJ in 3b pot on 893cc to a guy that kept shoving 10x pot with shit like 44 on 237r boards, got him. looking for spots to get involved at all times, whether 3betting more or just opening more in general. much more fun to play with reads and not on auto-pilot. +$230 for the morning session.
