From a -EVman to a +EVman

Hello this is +EVman, and I am here to share my journey.

I started playing poker in about 6 months and I had 4 phases:

first phase: where I was just playing around playing 2NL, all in or fold, 2NL antee, and when I tilt I go play 5NL and one time I played some 50NL with my whole roll just because of tilt, at the end I lost it all after playing a lot of 5NL and ended up losing the rest in random tourneys, I had no mental game no strategy no bankroll management I was just playing and having fun

second phase: after taking a break I was back, this time I found a study partner, started developing my game and at least thinking before making a decision, still after some time I repeated the same mistakes and started playing 5NL with no bankroll management and while not being really ready for it, as I still had the same mental game and strategy problems.

third phase : while in second phase I was playing some tournaments and I found that I do better decision while playing tournaments than while playing cash, so I moved to tourneys and started winning I generated a lot money but still I loose it all after a very bad swing where I couldn't win anything, which influenced my mental game and I just started loosing money until I lost my whole roll.

I lost my data so I can't show my previous graphs, in the future I'll try to find them.

fourth phase: I took a break and studied as much as I could in poker, I did a big review of my data base knew where my game was leaking understood as well the people and how they approached the game, in generale I developed my game and how I play as well as my mental game and this is my graph now in the past 9K hands:

now I am playing 2NL and I am doing sessions of playing 40 then study and rest for 20min and it is workingvery good.

running hot and playing good as well here are some hands :

there are other intresting hands but I don't want this to be long.

I don't want to repeat the same mistakes again, I'll keep playing 2NL until I have at least 50 BI for 5NL then I'll move up, as well as a solid graph of 50k-100k hands or more, still I don't want to be stuck there so I'll try to move up as soon as I could in generale.

that's my first time posting here so if there are some missing things let me know so that I can share them in the next post.

feel free to share your thoughts on the whole thing don't hesitate to go hard.

thank you and see you next time.

hello the past 9k hands were pretty much break even, most of the session will go like up up and then down either by bad play or a bad beat, I got on tilt busted some money but all good here are some hands I would like to share, I don't wanna go into details of every hand but some of them does not make any sense but I was lucky to find them bllufing, really 2NL players do not blluff but the regs the good one they spot where they should be bluffing a lot they are kind of aware of how they should play...adding the fact that the pool of 2NL is tight and will be overfolding almost in every agressive line they end up overbllufing which allows me to overcall, so blockers and theory(I am still learning about those concepts still) we can throw them away.
here are the hands I would like to share:

and this is my graph after 20k hands we are getting closer to my true win rate at 2NL as the upswing ended and I am having kinda average luck I guess with some bad beats here and there :

I would like your oppinion on this one

in game I choosed to over bet repping a set or a straight, I started bllufing with 88 which is a mistake because when I look at this spot on the solver is spliting the betting ranges where we can simplify to two ranges; a mergy range with two pair, over pairs, top pair, and the bllufs we can go 75%, and a polar range that have sets + straights plus the bllufs we can 150%, just for simplification the solver is always balanced here and will also have some straights and sets when it bets 75%. 88 does not fit for the 150% bet it fits for a 75% bet so I guess I can say that I did a polarization error I guess?? anyway when I block bet on river I can see him going crazy with any Ax with the ace of diamonds, and also the K reduce the combos of flushes he could have, anyway I am a calling station and I end up making the call his play is fine my hand vs the solver is only calling 10% and folding it's a break even call, I am the biggest calling station in the pool lol

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I would like to share with you guys where I am leaking money:
*preflop all ins, some times I can't fight the urges and I just **** it up specially if someone is shortstacked and he 3 bet jam aaah.
*turn sizings and when to blluf and with what combos...
*river bllufcatching: as you can see I am over calling when it comes to the river I love to hero call so this have to be fixed
*river bllufing : I can't also fight the urge of winning the pot altho villain have shown power or the board hits him more than
*I get emotional with my decision I get attached to the pot and this reflect negativly my actions,(I have attachement and comitment issues)
*preflop 3 bets and 4bets: as the pool is nitty where their opening range is already strong so I can't go nuts with my 3 bets soo over all I find it hard to find 4 bets specially OOP also cold 4 bets and for 3 beting I don't find enough 3 bets from the blinds.
those are the leaks I am looking forward to work on
