$134 to 10k WSOP main event buy-in challenge
Hey guys. I am from the UK and started playing poker again back in July after pretty much a 10 year break.
After shaking off the rust, I came up with a challenge to win $10k to buy-in to the WSOP Main Event which I have always wanted to play in.
I started off at 2nl with a bankroll of $134 (£100) and have now got up to $462 playing 10nl.
I have now withdrawn my deposit and have a bankroll of $328.
My bankroll management is:
2nl - Under $50
5nl - $50 - $155
10nl - $125 - $325
25nl $250 - $775
50nl - $625 - $1550
100nl $1250+
So basically when I have 25 buy-ins for my current stake plus 3 buy-ins for the stake above I will move up and take a 3 buy-in shot. I will move back down if I lose the 3 buy-ins
I currently play 4 tables for 2 hours a day which is 500-600 hands per day.
This is my current graph, I have played just short of 50k hands so far and am running about $125 below EV

you need to win the main. then go back to las vegas to defend your title and win it again. then go again to las vegas nevada and win your third wsop main event in a row and go down in history as one of the all time greats

I should probably mention that I play full-ring on Pokerstars.
Anyway, first update - I played 259 hands at 25nl and won $23.09. Not a bad start.
Bankroll now $351.44
I've decided to move back down to 10nl to work on a few things in my game. Mainly working on 3betting more.
At 25nl I played 3650 hands and made $24.26 (I was up $90)
My goal is to play another 10k of 10nl during January

End of January update - Played 14764 hands. Won $115.19
Bankroll now $486.99
I now have a coach, Just had 1 session so far. I am focusing on executing my new strategy whilst playing 2 tables at 10nl.

End of February update - Played 13072 hands. Won $108.21
Bankroll now $594.61
I've now had 3 coaching sessions and have learnt a lot. Going to move up to 25nl once I have finished the 5 session package.
March update - Played 14030 hands. Lost $8.51 (Excluding rakeback)
Bankroll now $607.08
I played 8000 hands at 10nl then moved up to 25nl. Currently down 1 buy-in at 25nl. Hoping for a more successful month in April!
April update - Played 22841 hands. Won $202.47 (Excluding rakeback)
Bankroll now $825.11
A more successful month in April which is what I was hoping for. I've now switched to 6 Max so am currently playing 5nl to see how it goes.
May update - Played 40011 hands and won $404.93
Bankroll now $1264.33
Making some good progress and taking shots at 25nl 6 max. Hoping to take a shot at 50nl during June.
