There Is No Reason For You To Read This

Due to some (hopefully) temporary life circumstances, I’m playing poker full-time at the moment. This blog is an attempt to impose some discipline and accountability on myself.

About Me: MAWG with good win-rate over ~3K hours playing private games in the southeast. I have two qualities that are extraordinarily helpful in poker: I’m ruthlessly self-reflective/critical and I’m competent at applied mathematics (finance background). I have MANY character traits that are unhelpful. Given that this is publicly viewable and there’s no guarantee of maintaining anonymity, I’m not going to list those flaws but they’re legion lol.

Process: My goal is to improve in some way every day and post about it here. I doubt it’ll be scintillating reading but I’m hoping the discipline of posting will help with poker discipline, more in study and off the table things than on the felt. My game is pretty disciplined. I doubt I’ll post any hand histories because they’re the least interesting part of poker.

Good luck me.

Day 1 - Rewatched Petrangelo C-bet Adjustments When Continues Aren't Hard video. The thing that's super helpful in Petrnagelo's videos is him explaining his reasoning for deviating from optimal lines/sizings. I have a terrible habit of falling into a lazy c-bet strategy when a little more thought/attention to detail would allow unconventional sizings that are more profitable. If you're a reasonably competent player relative to the pool you play against, that strategy will make money but not nearly as much as it could.
