What do you use to review your Hold em hands? Here is my current approach

I’ve been spending more time reviewing my Hold’em hands lately, especially the spots where I’m unsure whether I played too passively or over-bluffed. I realized that my biggest leaks usually come from hands I thought I understood during the game, but didn’t actually break down afterwards.

Right now my review process looks like this:

I write down key hands after each session

Then I go through position, stack sizes, opponent type, and decision points

I try to identify whether it was a technical mistake or a mindset issue

Recently I built a small hand-review practice tool to help myself structure these reviews better (mainly for single-player/offline study). It lets me recreate hands, tag mistakes, and revisit them later like a study log. I’ve found it useful for spotting repeating patterns in my play.

I’m curious about how other players here approach hand analysis:

Do you review hands immediately after a session or later in batches?

Do you use spreadsheets, apps, or just forum discussions?

What kind of mistakes do you usually discover during review?
