More Christians
After the ascension of Jesus, the human leader of Christians has been the Pope. Thanks and praise to Jesus for giving Christians the hope of a good life after death. The Pope helps Christians understand the teachings of Jesus. To have an American pope at this time is a great blessing.
There is no group of people that deserves to be attacked or oppressed at this moment in time. The world needs healing. The peaceful people of the world do not condone any violence of any kind. Hopefully the world knows that over 75% of Americans oppose this and any war.
Now is the time to end all wars. A lot of innocent Iranians and Palestinians have been killed recently. All children and civilians are innocent. A lot of immigrants are being treated unjustly. Immigration rights are human rights. It is time for a worldwide ceasefire. All international issues can be resolved with diplomacy. All domestic issues can be resolved through bureaucracies.
Every human being is a citizen of the world. Most people believe in a universal right to peace, health care, food, and shelter. Some people work to make these things scarce and it is usually for a profit. The Lord hears all of the cries of the people who are oppressed.
There are 10 levels to each form of poker. Novices are level 1 or 2. Casual players 3 or 4. Low stakes winners 5 or 6. Medium stakes winners 7 or 8. High stakes winners 9 or 10. Poker is a great game because it is possible to reach higher levels with work and discipline. The game can provide the opportunity to earn an equitable living wage for a lifetime.
Medium and high stakes tournament poker without time restraints is like soccer without extra time, the NBA without a shot clock, the NFL without a play clock, or hockey without penalties. Tournament poker is a young game so it makes sense that modern rules are still being developed.
The WSOP probably does not want to facilitate deals because they are mostly concerned about the quality of their streamed and recorded final tables. The WSOP can make a compromise with players by allowing them to make WSOP sanctioned deals.
Two WSOP sanctioned deals can be made in a WSOP tournament:
The final 3-6 players may agree to split up to half of the remaining prize pool being played for. Each entrant must receive at least 97% of their chip stacks icm value. The % of the remaining prize pool to be paid out to each entrant cannot be adjusted.
The final 2 players can make a deal and play for at least 25% of the pay jump between 2nd and 1st.
The WSOP should not be responsible for or ensure any other deals. The WSOP can also provide an option for swaps and action buying in its app to further help its customers.
ClubWPT Gold had a great idea to give players the chance to win millions of dollars playing WSOP events, but their idea also created game integrity issues for the WSOP and the players participating in their promotions. It would be good if all tournament runners could agree to not put bounties on winning any competitor’s events. The best promotion is to give free entries to your own events. Most poker players think the two players should still be able to play in the WSOP. Maybe to be reinstated the two players could explain why no bracelet was awarded and help do a promotion where they give some seats to the 2026 Millionaire Maker event.

Staggered Late Reg and James 1
A troubling poker innovation that has taken hold of tournament poker in 2026 is extreme max late reg. Most people who play poker tournaments would agree that it would improve the overall quality of poker tournaments to cutoff registration somewhere between 20-30 big blinds. There are many tournaments where players can buy-in with 12 big blinds or less. Even some of the players who benefit from extreme max late reg the most have pointed out that it is not ideal for the game.
As we can see from the number of entries in tournaments this summer in Las Vegas, an increase in extreme max late reg is not benefitting game runners. Extreme max late reg primarily benefits the expected hourly of the winning poker players who use it. It allows them to play lower buy-ins with a decreased time commitment. It allows them to play higher buy-ins with a substantial icm benefit.
Rolling back extreme max late reg will not eliminate a winning player’s edge. Winning players adjust their skill sets and schedules to whatever the game conditions dictate. Since extreme max late reg has become the norm, many people who love poker can sense that rolling it back would be a great poker innovation at this time.
A Closer to Ideal Tournament Structure - Staggered Late Reg
Staggered late reg is a simple idea that game runners can implement. The idea is to have an earlier cutoff for a player’s initial buy-in and to cutoff re-entries at later levels. With a staggered late reg system, the benefits of later registration are granted from earlier entries.

In lower stakes poker tournaments, there are more novice and casual players. Novice and lower stakes casual players often have a goal of playing a single entry for as long as possible. This makes the >100bb levels more significant. It might be better for higher stakes tournaments to begin with double levels 4-6 since there are generally very few novice players and the casual players are generally skilled and seasoned gamblers.
